Today, the AV Club shared an article on Facebook, in which Laverne Cox responded to the Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair cover. Laverne talks about how the spotlight should be more on everyday transpeople, and how some of us won't be able to achieve "cisnormal beauty standards", because of various reasons. I found this article to be very touching, in that Laverne is bringing attention to the struggles of everyday trans people. I think we should spread this article around, and maybe people who are having trouble with this concept will gain a little insight into what it's like to be trans. We don't want to be singled out, we don't even really want people to see us as anything, besides the gender we feel we are supposed to be, and Cox touches on these subjects. Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but if you want to share this article, here it is.
