Hello all, just a little moan i guess, im 4 months post op and everything is going well, i went to the shops yesterday with a friend to do some shopping. It was going well when a group of kids no older than about 14 yrs old started shouting horrible things at me... like freak.. ok i know this shouldn't bother me because they are kids and that i have had worse in the past. But it has and i still feel angry with them..

Usually i wouldnt feel like this but i still do... anyway im just wondering id the way i feel is because of the hormonal changes.. and besides that what gives these kids the right in the first place to make strangers feel bad.. sociaty has got better but i still believe they should teach it in schools because there are three sides to the coin...

Anyway i hope all are having a nice morning xxx

I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's terrible that this is the kinda world we have to live in. Too much judgement and not enough compassion.

Context helps me with stuff like this, and I know some stuff about teenagers. There have been studies that show, when it comes to empathy, teenagers (especially boys 13 to 16) have the same emotional patterns as sociopaths. They are basically incapable of empathy. You don't have to forgive this fact, many teens have the ability to reason their way out of sociopathy. Just don't let their crappy teenage brains and words wound you deeply. It's not you, its all on them and their biology.

Yeah, kids...get them in a group and they're the worst. I'm sorry that happened to you, looking at your avatar I can't even begin to imagine why they were taunting you, surely not because you're trans??

Years ago a group of kids threw an apple at me, hit me right in the back of my right knee. Bunch of little $#%*s thought it was hilarious. (On the plus side it fixed my bung knee).

I, too, can't understand, because look at you! You're gorgeous! And to Ms. Grace, maybe fixing your knee is exactly what those kids were trying to do! ;)
