ha ha ha ha well, political candidates these days are power hungry greedy folks 😉 who don't like to share power.... its all or none. clinton or obama will not [share] their presidency with anyone who might be a threat to their power. So i don't see it ever happening.... regardless of how much sense it makes.

and no.... i wouldn't vote for them. mostly because clinton believes that government is the answer to all our problems.... which will mean more taxes, there is no way around it. her struggle for [universal health care] in the 90's will surface again and that program will be the biggest boondoggle since welfare and social security was started. it is one of those programs that sounds so good and wonderful on paper, but in reality will be a disaster. again, the program assumes that people are logical... which they are not. the countries in europe that started [universal health care] are having to re-think their programs, but you will hear little about that in the media. You have to get it from the people who live there.

Agreed, and I'd put Ron Paul ahead of all of them.  In recent years, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, already in bad shape, have been chopped up.  Ron Paul actually talks about this -- Kucinich and Gravel at least talk about some of it, but they also are socialists and are anti-gun, which are breaking points for me, but that's another thread.

It can be argued that this is true for alot of past elections, but In my humble opinion,
Neither has the qualifications to be considered president.
I have -0- faith in someone that was "First Lady" and then senator for a couple terms presenting herself as a "Leader"
Additionally, I feel that Obama has about the same lack of credentials.
State Legislature for 3 terms and senate for 1? 

The dangerous side of republicans is that they are seemingly becoming more and more sneaky about being closet globalists.   But at least we can expect the same thing out of them regardless of their intent.

I am sorry folks.  I realize that the "democratic" party is supposed to be the more socially liberal, but in reality, none of them are really good for "our" community.   What is good?  Someone that will pass legislation?   Well it only matters if it is upheld and enforced.   In the meantime it does nothing more than suit to raise taxes and promote worse politics to begin to support them.

I've been very tempted to move to Canada the last few years. Universal health care, legal marriage for any gender, fantastic traditional fiddle music... what's not to like!

Oh, and I'd choose Obama over Clinton, although neither is my first choice.

Both Obama and Clinton are good for transgender people. 
I would say Obama has demonstrated a more sympathetic face, but largely because he was given an opportunity to shine with regards to transgender people.

Also taking Obama is a protege of Dick Durbin, who is probably one of the friendliest senators regarding any LGBT issue, well I am a bit biased.

Forgive me if I sound cross here as it is not my intent, but I fail to see how someone who could be good for transgender people, means that they would make a good president.

I realize I may be alone on this issue, but frankly I am a little tired of minority thinking they rule this country.  I accept the fact that in this regard I am in the minority.  I realize that in order for things to change the minority must scream the loudest.   But what the minority wants isnt always what is best for everyone.   No I am not arguing the validity of anyone plight.   What I mean to say is, I feel that a President should look out for the best interest of the country entire, not one group or sect as it were.

In this regard I feel neither is qualified or capable, and while they may be champions for the transgender community, they are a far cry from what I want when it comes to being a president.

I would vote for Hilary rather than Barack. I rather enjoyed most of the first two Clinton administrations and have seethed with all three Bush ones.

As for pro-trans presidents: "please spare us that." Someone who might work quietly to have health insurance coverage for us in the USA and then remain quiet about us and allow us to sink into the normal flow of life as human beings would be good, imo.

and as far as the vote thing goes you can bet that noone who is elected is going to do anything to upset the controlling religous masses in this country (I have no problem with religion I just have a problem with how a great idea has been perverted beyond recignition) so I don't really think we can expect much support from anyone who gets in office
