my view on Politics, especially american politics is very negative, since I spent my free time gathering background information on buisness, corruption, banks, policits and so on.
I am not american, but my opinion on this is: The way wont change, everything will go on nearly the same way if seen general. Minor changes are task of a president, deciding where the country has to go, that is nothing the president has bother himself as other people do that for him. For Trump, he talks much and acts like a tough guy, I guess this is his main attribute.

What?? I mean...WHAT??? Military spending hasn't gone down, I think ever! WHAT!?!?!?!
Anyone who can say that straight faced, and not see how ridiculous it is should not be allowed anywhere NEAR our budgeting for military. His backwards, simplistic thinking will put us so far down a whole we may never recover, especially since having a standing military to NOT USE IT is one of the dumbest statements...ever!
I get his point, for me its also a dumb point but I can understand his point how view.
america needs defense and a huge military to scare other countries, starting war in other countries to make sure, no one is able to attack america.
I guess that is what he meant.
America has the advantage of their economy, their banks and their more than huge military. Their problem is, the economy/financial and bank part will suffer from more than huge problems in the future. Europe as ally has absolutely no military worth to mention and a economy that was sold to China.
As for Russia and China, that just united their military in purpose of ... guess what.. Russia has a huge military, not as much as america for sure, but better systems in terms of infiltration, hacking, air superiority and water superiority.
China has its economy that is still growing (0,5% less than before, wow! Other economys dont grow even that like).
So the problem Trump thinks, his country will suffer in the future is, their economy/financial will break down and together with europe (will face a more huge problem) they cant use their power of economy against potential enemies. The last year sanctions on Russia didnt hit them hard enough to let inner revolution and financial collapse break out, that was what was planned, didnt work, Russia is agressive because of that, China is too, they united, both have a problem with america so you may get now what I want to say.
