Sheesh. That is just not fair! However...
Get thee to urgent care and get on antibiotics right away. After that, assuming the doc you see does diagnose strep throat (there's a "rapid test" they can do), contact your surgeon's office. It sucks, but your surgery probably will have to be postponed. The strep infection not only increases your risk of infection at the surgical site, it also increases your risk of complications with anesthesia.
I know this isn't what you want to hear, because of how much you want to have the surgery -- but you also really, really want a good outcome! Don't do anything to jeopardize that, even if it means putting it off. To put it in perspective, we're talking about the rest of your life here...
And you might want to give your therapist a call. It would make sense that you'd need some extra support to deal with a setback like this.
