I finally built enough courage to finally come out, and this community helped me so much.  All the courageous stories, and helpful information showed I wasn't alone in this world.  I've been struggling with my identity all my life, and fought so hard to suppress who I really was due to fear of being "different" or a "freak".

I came out to my wife a couple of weeks ago, who was shocked, but surprisingly very open minded and supportive.  We don't know if we'll still be together when I eventually transition, but she has assured me that she'll be with me during the process and help however she can.  I love her so much, and SO happy she's taking this well.  She's freaked out, sad, etc..., but she'll always be in my life and we'll always be family.  She's more heartbroken that I've been dealing with this all my life, and I haven't been able to live who I really am.  She was freaking out a little bit, because she had no one to talk to ... she asked me if she could talk to her sister, which I sad was fine (scary!).  Luckily her sister is just as open minded as my wife and totally supports me too!  I'm glad she has support for herself to help process things when she needs to.  We're just taking everything day by day, and communicating about everything.  Communication is key, no matter what's on our mind!

It's a new day, and still very early.  I'm excited to meet a gender therapists to finally talk about everything, and begin this new journey.

Can't wait to engage with this community, learn new things, and maybe make some new friends.  I really can't thank you all enough, this forum/community is very special!

A great story, Kaylee!  I'm very happy for you. You're a very lucky lady.
