Hi everyone :). I have been on HRT for a short while now and I am wondering if over time it will make my private part more like a clitoris. I am wondering if there are nerve changes that happen with HRT and possible increase of nerve endings in the area. I have heard people say that the HRT makes their body more sensitive. I am just wondering if I can expect gential changes on HRT. I have heard that some pre-op transwomen end up using a vibrator, so I am wondering if this becomes easier after HRT. Thanks very much xxxxx

The best thing of all is that HRT will make it shrink in size and that has always been a major plus in my book.

Not if you are planning on having SRS like I am. Although I know exactly what you mean.

Nerve density does not increase, unfortunately.
It will shrink, but that probably is not advantageous.

Your perineal raphe will get a dark line on it.
Your testicles will also shrink due to lack of testosterone.

AFAIK

-There is psychological changes that occurs wich makes your orgasm quite different. It takes longer to acchieve it and you need to find what turns you on . It is less on/off

- There is no nerve changes however, when you get the SRS done, they do some changes to the "pleasure nerve" (repositionning, etc) and create the clitoris with it.  By doing it, some claim it gets very sensible and that they cant touch it for months because it is to sensible. You have to learn about your new "tool".

Wow! that's brilliant. This makes me feel a lot happier about my SRS. So they actually make the clitoris very sensitive then? Somehow by repositioning nerves. I feel so pleased by this. I was begining to worry that I would never have a proper clitoris. Thank you so much :) xxxx

Hi tesseract,

You may wish to check out a short video of the procedure just so you know what to expect. It's in the WIKI section. WIKI > Medical : Penile Inversion > External links / Video: Dr. Marci Bowers.

My surgeon suggested I continue with masturbation until surgery, to ensure the synapses with the brain remained healthy when the remapping process kicked in, post op. Yup. It's very sensitive. Works like a treat. Albeit quite differently, but oh soooo ..................

Take a look at how the surgery is done, there is a couple explaination and even video on internet.  You will understand why it is sensitive.. if you didnt know, when you masturbate what provide the pleasure is only a long tube and it is protected by your penile skin/muscle. They create the clitoris with this.

To make you understand a little more, some men are getting circumcision.  When they get the surgery done, it is very sensible because nothing is protecting it. It takes sometimes to get used to it.

Same thing happend with SRS but it is even more sensible because they only keep a part of it.

Oh okay. I am feeling so much happier now. This has been worrying me for ages. I really didn't know it was this advanced. SO the actual nerves in the penis are protected by the shaft but when the clit is formed, the nerves are much closer so it is a lot more sensitive. I feel so much happier knowing this. xxxx

I haven't had GCS yet , but I'm so much more pleased with the changes in sensitivity and orgasm on HRT.

The video shows how the head of the penis, harbouring the nerve bundle complete, is re-sited and forms part of the Clitoroplasty

Hello Everyone, very much feared changes (shrinkage) would impact final result of my SRS.  As a result I very much wanted SRS completed prior to starting HRT.  My insurance company does not require HRT prior to SRS.  Ended up paying for the surgery on my own.  Getting it done in expedited time.  Reasons to get SRS done first included getting past intense transsexulism and perhaps enjoy a better outcome for sexual intercourse.
Thank you,
Anne

Hi Anne,

Now that its all over and done with, I hope you're plugged into a good Endocronologist who can reset your hormone levels, now that you've lost your main hormone generator.

I've detailed my experiences at length in another thread prior, so I'll try to keep this short:

HRT has changed very little visually - the testicles have reduced in size but the penis is virtually identical and without loss of erection.  It does stay obediently relaxed most of the time though which I greatly appreciate.  My brain and body however have made up their own mind when it comes to the stimulation/response pattern.  Perhaps if I have SRS this re-programming will continue to include a desired response from 'clitoral' stimulation.  For now I find I have two completely distinctive and competing stimulation/response patterns that I consider male vs female.  To put it simply, stimulating the penis produces a male response pattern that short-circuits the ability to generate my female response.  I've learned to ignore the penis as much as possible in order to get anything rewarding out of masturbation and to avoid an underwhelming 'one-and-done' scenario.  My female response requires penetration (with or without prostate stimulation, doesn't matter) and the resulting experience is 'other-worldly' and can keep cycling almost indefinitely.

For me, having mild female orgasms initially happened by spontaneous surprise just from thought and without any direct stimulation of any part of my body.  Once I understood what was going on I worked on how to integrate body stimulation into the fantasy mix and eventually found the right combination of elements.  I honestly don't know if my penis/clitoris will ever successfully become part of that mix.  Anyone's individual experience seems to vary a lot and I think much of it is brain-driven.  I have occasionally managed to trigger the right reaction via my penis alone but have had to forcibly remove it from the mental mix at this time in my development.  My usual method these days is so effective that I'm hardly saddened by needing to leave the 'old boy' out.  'He' can come back in when 'he' learns to get with the program!

Something I've noticed in the first 9 days of HRT?   I'm having a much easier time crossing my legs.  Pre-hrt, sometimes if I crossed them quickly or bounced my legs some it'd hit the testicles in just the wrong way and they'd hurt and I'd have to reposition myself.  Haven't had that at all in the last few days.

A lot of the discussion I've seen focuses on size and sexual related nerves ....  but haven't seen a comment on this potentially fantastic side effect:   Will it hurt less if I get hit in the crotch?

Note:  I'm not volunteering for anyone to punch me to prove a theory.... ;)

Ive become a "squirter".... something I was always amazed about with women, but never had the opportunity to be with one. Now I am one and as thrilling as it was at first, its now somewhat of a curse, because its a messy event and involves prep and cleanup ??? :o

my testicles have shrunk and tend to go inside somewhere esp when aroused

penis is much smaller and never gets fully erect

multiple orgasms now.... as many as I want, it takes longer to find the big one, but the small ones come fairly easy

I dont feel I started as a full male, so my results probably are not typical

This one
and the psychological changes I found really interesting and positive for me.

Something I would like to know is if they only use a small part of the glans to make the clitoris, how do they get a part of it that has the nerves connected to it? Do they use the surface of it or is it inside? also can they increase the number of nerve endings? sorry for all of these questions. I would watch the procedure but It would gross me out and trigger me too much. xxxx

Depending on the actual donor material, the surgeon will identify the nerve bundle and  and associated material and form the clitorus

Both

No

Have a word to your therapist on this one. At the end of the day, this procedure is your responsibility. Your body, your responsibility. Your surgeon is paid to do a job, nothing more, nothing less. You have to live with the consequences, no one else. So be sure you know exactly what you're in for.
