Im a 15 year old with GID and i have yet not really hit puberty like the rest my age . I look like a 12-13 year old. If i take hormone pills and do the process will i completely look femenine like jazz jennings ? I am more on the femenine side right now than masculine.

It's easer keeping up with you if you stay on the same thread. Blockers aren't hormones and without blockers, you may develop masculine features. As for looking like anybody else, it depends on your genetics. All women receive the same hormones but pretty much every woman looks different depending on what their genetic code holds. The odds are you would look more like a relative in your family. In my case I am somewhat of a cross between my mother and my father. My face looks more like my mothers but my body and hair takes after my father.

Don't go into the transition expecting to look a particular way. Go into the transition to become yourself.

Have to agree with Dena transition for the need not for some hypothetically achievable societal concept of what a woman should be like.

Yes ! I don't want to be somebody else i want to be myself  i am more on my mothers characteristics and have little no nothing from my dads. Btw does low testosterone itself feminize ?  I have a friend (17 male)on periscope who has never had any type of therapy or bone structure and has a lot of female facial characteristics. He said it had something to do with having low t as a teen.Sorry for the confusion on posts  ^-^ I cant seem to understand how somebody with low t can still hit puberty  :embarrassed: i hope i can start therapy soon, but hopefully this will help a little for the meantime  :-\

The default human development is female. At every development point of which there are several if that extra little bit isn't there, the body will develop as female. You you look at some of the pictures the FTMs post, you will find they develop pretty masculine and that's most likely what will happen to you if T isn't blocked. It's possible that your hormone levels are low or you might have intersex characteristics and that's why you haven't hit puberty yet. If these feelings came to you after you were in your teens, you are already producing male hormones in quantity and your emotions were the first to be affected.

In short, a child who fails to produce T will appear feminine. Give that child (male or female) T and they will develop masculine features. This is the reason I push so hard to get medical treatment for you. The more you delay treatment, the more you will have to overcome when you are older and it isn't fun.

:icon_yikes:  :icon_nervious: i need that asap . There's nothing i really could do right now other than remain with a low t diet. I actually think its working because i have no sex drive or any sexual thoughts as of i started my diet for neither gender, i guess you can call me asexual. I fear of getting a square face or loosing my apple checks  :icon_sadblinky: so there's no way im letting t form inside my body  :icon_pistoles: YOU HEARD THAT TESTOSTERONE ?! lol ;D Maybe only drinking soy milk since 8 years old actually has an effect

I love your sense of humor. It's as bad as mine. Does that mean you are considering talking to your parents? If you are, let us know how we can help.

LordeIsMyIdol:

I can sense some of my youth is in your experience.  I would have transitioned right from my tender age if that were possible during my day as we old folks say.  You have it better nowadays.  Let's hope that your parents are better today than past times and that you find a medical team to provide the counselling and medicine to manage your system.

I was lucky in part that I did not start puberty until early 20s just before I began ERT and the worst of mine was facial hair that went away.

So as was Dena's comment - it is much easier to nip things in the bud before they start.

Good luck!

The fact that i feel comfortable talking about this to somebody instead of my parents is why i wish they would change. I know my mum would need some time to think about it but she most likely would support my dessicion to do this. My dad on the other hand has been completely abusive (mental, physical) ever since i was a child. Everything i did had to be like a man. So telling him dad im not a man i want to transition into a woman would just light the fire up even more. I don't know what to do anymore. Im sort of ok being how i am right now but if i ever become masculine id loose it  :( as long as im still legally in their custody my options are 0

Your options may be greater than you think. You might tell your mother when the two of you are alone and let her decide what the best approach is. In California the schools may have a way to handle this and either the school nurse or a student consoler might be able to help you. I don't know if you are aware of it but as a child actor, California has assigned somebody to keep an eye on you and I suspect you have membership in the actors guild. There may also be an adult neighbor you feel comfortable confiding in as well. There are other legal options as well but the the outcome with those isn't always very good.

As for why you are comfortable talking with me is I am a total stranger who has been through the entire process and am kind of a mentor to you. What little I know about your identity I am forbidden to talk about unless you are in danger which you are not. Where I to discuss anything I know about you other than what you have already posted, I would lose my position as moderator and I would most likely be banned from Susan's. I am one of the safest people you could talk to.

I suspect as time goes on you will get more uncomfortable with yourself. That is one of the reasons for the blockers because shutting down the T factories will reduce the discomfort you feel within days of starting the drugs. Blocker didn't exist when I was young and the pressure built in me to the point where I almost took my life at age 23. Not everybody feels this way but the numbers are 2 out of 5 do and I don't like the odds. In treatment the numbers drop to the levels seen in the rest of the population and they may even be lower.

If you decide not to tell your parents, at least keep this account open so you have somebody to talk with when the pressure builds. When you hit 15 post you will have the option of communicating by PM as well as posting on the forum and that may help you when you need to vent.

I probably have Hypogonadism  its known to delay puberty and retain a child from becoming masculine. Ive seen several cases of adult males looking like a kid.

While it's possible, I would be more willing to lay my money on some form of intersex  as you are also transgender. In either case, if you ever get a physical with a doctor you might want to bring this all up because a doctor might be able to help your parents see the need for you to have treatment. Be sure you bring this up if the talk start to center around giving you male hormones to help with puberty. All they will do is make you feel really depressed and you are better off to let the cat out of the bag than deal with what the hormones will do to you.

Sooner or later i will have to. Im not quite informed on what happens on the process of a blood test because they never tell us anything about hormone levels just cholesterol ect. If they ever say my t levels are low ill tell them that i dont want HRT to raise it because i have GID and that i cant live with myself if i ever become masculine,  but im worried if they suddenly trick me into injecting t into me thinking its just a vaccine :( I just hope that i can at least get the puberty stopers if my diet already doesnt , so i never have to deal with being more of a male. I also fear that my diet is a little dangerous, considering that i have little to no zinc i take :(

Dena

T injections need to be repeated every couple of weeks and one injection isn't going to do much to you. I know you don't get much milk but meat and whole grain are good sources and you must eat at least one of those. If you aren't getting enough zinc, you would be sickly and you would have problems with wounds healing so unless you are making regular trips to the doctor, I suspect you have a fair amount of zinc in your diet.

As for hormone levels, I started taking hormones about 1978 and I just got copies of my medical records so I can start a new doctor in a new state and my hormone levels were never measured. It's not a test they run unless they have a reason to run it. In my case, I was taking the standard dose of hormones so they didn't feel the need to test the levels. In a CIS they wouldn't test it unless there was a complaint that made them suspect low hormone levels.

Is whole wheat the same as whole grain ? Im also skeptical about hormome dependant cancers, am i prone to them for having low t ? I notice that my chest have been getting bigger lately, but not the fat male kind of growth, the tenderish kind. Im suspecting that i may have klinefelter's syndrome , because i have a lot of the symptoms and ever since a couple of years ago people said that i had femenine legs and a femenine posture without me wanting to have it.As i have no sexual desire and didnt know i had gid. I also developed "some" pubic hair but i noticed that its in a female pattern not male as for a male it is almost everywhere even near the belly. I think theres more too it other than me being transgender because this isnt "normal" for a male my age.

They are the same. White flour is more or less starch with all the good stuff removed. White flour often taste and bakes better but isn't as good for you. Bread that's brown in color is made using the full wheat kernel and retain the food value that was removed making white flour. I suspected you were getting whole wheat bread when I hear soy milk. Your mother is a little into health foods and the two would go together.

My body was normal male with nothing detectable by the medical science of 40 years ago. I am and always have been Asexual. I am not sexually attracted to people but I do enjoy their company. You are young and maybe that moment of sexual interest hasn't happened yet or you might be asexual like me. It's still a bit early to know and maybe some day you will have a better feeling for it. Right now the TG feelings you have might be throwing a wrench in the works and after you get those feeling under control you might be better able to tell your true feelings.

Let me introduce you to a new word - hypochondriac. Yes, to the best of my ability to determine it, you are TG and possibly Transsexual, but the other conditions may have another explanation. Some of them your doctor should be able to spot and if they concern you, your doctor should be asked about them. I am not a doctor and I definitely didn't play one on TV. I am a computer programmer who is a 64 year post surgical transsexual. I am naturally curious and I have far to much free time on my hands so I read a lot but there are limits to what type of help I can provide.

Thank you for the help you've given me so far it's been very useful ! I think i know what i want now  ^-^

First I'd recommend contacting a local PFLAG group. They do a lot with TG youth and between the people heading up the TG portion and other youths with TG you'll get a far better idea of the protocols.

At 15 you'd likely still be in the Puberty Blocking age group. The down side as I understand it is that they are expensive on top of finding a medical practitioner willing to work with you. Again, this is where others going through it is important

I would not wait to talk to someone. I would talk to a doctor or nurse at your school. And find a way to talk to your parents to take some of the fright out of it. I know that I got extreme anxiety before and when I came out. But it is such a big relief after. There are a lot of good people on here and it is and was a great place for you to start and learn

You have my blessing [emoji120][emoji106]
