I'm currently a freshman in college and I'm wondering if I should just wait to start the transition process after college or sooner rather than late. The thoughts of being a woman and wanting to express how I feel have been growing lately and when I see other girls I get jealous of how they look.
I would really appreciate all of your opinions on my situation and what I should do.

Well its possible you have a good coverage in college... access to therapists and hrt...
its even possible srs is covered...
its well possible people are acceptive... its not kids in school any more...
some people transition over a summer break for example and start as the gender they identify with...
how are people standing concerning lgbt issues ? That might give a hint...

Are you ready to transition? There will be a good deal of work and expense involved. If you are, then go for it but remember that you still need to get your degree.

Laura, thank you for bringing those points to mind. I don't exactly know how people are concerning lgbt, but I am transferring schools in a couple weeks so I don't think it would be useful here.

Dena, I don't know if I'm ready, I feel like I'm ready to live as a woman but I'm not so sure if I want to transition yet.

Kisses,

I would say do you want to transition? If you truly want to do it, do it. Someone told me I should have waited until after 9th grade to transition, but i wanted too much more than waiting. If you want to wait, or give it time, do it. But if you are like me, and can't wait and still feel jealous about girls when they walk by, do it. It is YOU that matters.

Thanks purple,

I truly do feel like I want to transition and getting jealous of girls is starting to get to me as every time I look at them I fantasize what I would look like in their shoes(which are always CUTE TBH). But, overall I thank you for your opinion as it has helped me.

Hugs,

That was pretty much exactly me, and I couldn't deal. I literally, could not, deal and it actually burst one day and I came out. I just think in hindsight coming out while calm and level-headed is a lot better than coming out when you are angry or pissed off (from experience).

It truly has gotten to the point where I'm seriously considering transitioning, like you, but I'm being very cautious with coming out as I want to find the perfect time to do it.
