So no one knows me here but my name is currently Brandyn, an im still looking for a good name that sounds right to me, i presonally like Brynne which is pronounced Brin, or Bexlynn an Bex as a nick name, any suggestions? Lol, anyways I am finally going to be able to hopefully start hrt thursday thats when I see my dr for the first time, an they told me if my blood comes out fine I could leave that day starting hrt

So i guess what I am getting at is what should I expect? Ive read all kinds of things on here that range but example being emotional and mood swings? How bad were they? Tenderness up top when your breasts develope like how bad is it am i gonna bump one an everyone find out cuz im noticably in pain or is it a ow brush it off an keep going? Are my shirts gonna bother them? Im still not full time yet clearly an my work doesnt know yet, should i be worried about being fired? I live in washington an we have laws about it but whats that really entail? Anyways thats a broad spectrum of questions i have pluss hella more, an some back story,I am 27 my family knows my girl friend has known an everyone is supportive i already have kids so im not worried about going sterile but id still like to have a sex life with my woman to. I am just nervous/scared an all around cant wait. I dreaded the thought of growing to be a old hairy bald guy an now hopefully i wont die that way :D anyways im new here and im looking to find support from other ladies like myself, an encouragement to be the best woman I finally can be :)

"Strong, and elegant, Alexandra maintains a nice aura despite its popularity, has a solid historic pedigree, and offers an array of softer nicknames, from Alex to Lexi to Alexa and Xandra"

Other nice names imo are: laura lauren leona vivien and amber

-you might avoid mood swings by spreading the daily dose of pills in a few small doses instead of two big ones... this way spikes might be avoided.
Or using one patch for steady levels and using it together with pills...

-be careful, there are times the boobies will be sore and hurt if bumped into somewhere.
Als keep in mind the girls are growing... so you are not used to them being there, and might be given to bump into something more often, unless always careful...

Emotionally it seems to really vary between people.  Some say they immediately find a new connection to their emotions and cry a lot.  That didn't happen to me although I think I had a pretty strong connection already.

Breasts will get sore but that probably won't happen for a few months.  After that the degree of soreness will vary, fading and coming back seemingly at random.

Unless you do something really drastic nobody at work will know and there shouldn't be any problems there for a long time, maybe indefinitely if you chose that.

Thank yall for the replies... so more questions, whats the difference from spiro an cypro an which is better as an a/a? Should i ask for shots or patches? because i dont wanna totally destroy my liver because i do plan on being on hrt for awhile but i want to get the best results to an im thinking about getting an orchie? But idk what changes it will cause besides the less need for T blockers an me being happy they are gone. But that ones a bit away from now, because i will still want to "function" enough to still have fun with my lady. Anyways sorry for all that at once excited got adhd to lol. But anyway new subject I mostly cant wait for next summer so i can get to wear my summer dress :D hugs thanks again for the polite replies :)

I'm not sure where you're located, if you're in the US Cypro won't be an option for you. If you're outside of this fun little republic, that's something you should discuss with your doctor. I've heard good things about both, and it will depend on your particular biology and needs.

As for patches vs injections... patches are a pain in the metaphysical sense. They're hard to keep on, they leave you with gummy residue to wash off, and they can irritate your skin. I can't say if injections are any better, but most girls seem to prefer them given the option.

The big worry about an orchiectomy is that some surgeons who provide GRS won't do so if you have had one. The tissues in your scrotum are used in the construction of a vagina, and having an orchiectomy can cause them to shrink to the point where they cannot be used, or will provide a very shallow vagina. I'd really only consider one if you're either not planning on GRS, if you plan on searching out a surgeon that uses alternative methods, or if your body cannot handle blockers.

I didnt know that about the meds not being available here. Hmmm. I think ill go with injections I had allergy shots as a kid for years so needles dont bother me one bit. An I dont plan on getting grs or srs just dont want them, so an orchie sounds like the best choice, I hate my balls sorry for a lack of better words, but they sag an Ive sat on them an it hurts (not Allowed) that, Im 27 they can go with body hair for all i care, their ugly to me anyway. Besides that im okay with the rest, I cant wait to have boobs instead of balls ;) again sorry for my choice of words i guess i should try an think of better words to use next time.

You say you want to have a sex life with your female partner. What kind? Because getting an orchiectomy will bar your genitals from ever getting erect again.
  •

brynne4thewin

Thats not what ive heard or seen? Ive been told you could still have an erection and orgasm.
  •

brynne4thewin

Srs isnt for everyone you know and it is still possible to have a sex life with your partner its about being one with your body and focusing or if all else fails meds
  •

Splendid

Yeah, but you said you don't want SRS, but instead you want an orchie. That's why I was asking what kind of sex life you want. If it doesn't include piv sex, then you can. But if it does include piv sex, then you can't have that after getting an orchie. It literally removes the source of your testosterone, which allows your genitals to become erect.

You might have erections... but nobody knows beforehand...
some people use testo gels, or maybe low dose implants...
or viagra...

You might consider SRS later. You might want to change your mind.
There are surgeons who tell how an orchi needs to be done for an SRS later.
Or they do it themselves and count a payment for orchi towards an SRS.

There is one form of hrt with injections and implants where estrogen levels are driven well into the female range and testo down into the female range a s well, without anti androgens.
its a well known effect, you might ask an endo.
It might be complimented with bioidentical progesterone, which might help with breast development, mood, and even out some side effects of estrogen.

Many people say injections are effective. And many people like implants, no hassle and steady doses.

I love the name Alexandra. That was my mum's name. :) Sometimes I really miss her. :0\
I am also seeking HRT. I think this post is very helpful. I am not on HRT yet and my boobs already get sore off and on. Lol Maybe my body is thinking ahead? Lol I am NOT complaining at all!
There is a HUGE difference between acceptance and just being tolerated. Being who you really are and being accepted is awesome, but merely being tolerated for who you are, would be more hell than it's worth. No matter what. Never change who you are for ANYONE because they are not worth it...

I just started this week, too!
Maybe someone can answer a question here so I don't have to make a new topic.
I'm taking the E sublingually, but I don't know how long I need to let it sit.  It dissolves into a powder, and most of it's gone by then, but I'm not sure if I should swallow the powder or just keep waiting until everything's completely gone.  I've been swallowing the residue, but I think I'll try letting it sit tomorrow.  It's just so difficult to tell if it's really working!
Appreciate your answers ♥♥

With sublingual intake the liver is passed by with intake.
its called first pass effect.
Its supposed to cause less strain on the liver and less clotting factors, since for unknown reasons the liver might presume a leak and raise clotting factors.

Its preferable if as much as possible of estrogen is dissolved in the mouth.

The are uncoated micronized bioidentical estrogen pills which might dissolve quite well. Estrace is one example.

Some people additionally take a very small dose of aspirin daily against clotting.
You might talk this through with your doctor/endo .

I hold mine underneath the tip of my tongue while I'm making coffee, it only takes a few minutes for it to dissolve completely then I take my vitamins with either some juice or water

The aspirin sounds like a good idea  8)
