I am 3 months post op and found out I have granulation tissue at the entrance of my vajaja. I had two silver nirate treatment already. And is sehdule for a third one in two weeks! Anyone else on here have experience with granulation? How many treatment does it take for healing? How long before the bleeding stop? When can I have sex? Lol

Talk to the doctor giving you treatment because the time could be as short as a month after the last treatment and as long as 3 month. Only you doctor knows for sure.

It really sucks! bleeding during dilation and sore afterward. I'm taking a lot of pain pill. Had two treatment already and its a lot better then what it was. But slow healing.

I feel for you Butterflylover3. Having the granulation near the entrance is a bad place; you hit it all the time dilating. Some times it can take several treatment over weeks.  Have you had sex with a guy yet or will this be your first time.  You want to be completely healed for your first time as there are concerns enough on how it will feel that first time and you don't anything that could interfere.

I haven't had sex yet, I want to wait til I'm healed. Yeah my third treatment is in a couple weeks. One thing when I dilate that I noticed is the dead grey skin that comes off after treatment, its on my dilator when i pull out. very odd I hope it's normal.

it's pretty common, I had it treated 2 or 3 times though I only recall it bleeding directly after being treated.

Sorry to hear this.  Any post op complication has to be so disheartening not to mention the discomfort.

Hate to sound dumb!  But what exactly is it?  I've heard mention of it in posts and as I'm soon to be post op, I'm still trying to be as knowledgeable as possible.

It's bodys way of protecting, healing wounds, it's moist skin that's a different colour, looks lumpy (granules) but sometimes the body doesn't know when to stop doing it, so silver nitrate kills it and the appropriate skin can then grow

(I had it on my toe once also) It is pretty common in srs, pretty much expect it. It gets treated in the first few weeks, it can happen inside the vagina which is more difficult to treat I think

I had surgery with Dr Chettwaut. By all means this isnt his fault. It just how one's body is healed. I happen to be one of the unlucky people who end up with granulation tissue.

Granulation is when your skin heal and it over heal too much where skin grow on top of skin or too much skin heal together. Its red flashy skin and bleeds easily. Which makes dilation very hard and painful.

Yes treating it in the vajaja is definitely hard because after being treated you're not suppose to put pressure on the area for healing. But in this situation since I'm only three months post op. Can't really do that, I gotta dilate otherwise I'll lose depth. Super annoying and this is another reason why its slowing down the healing. 🙁

Yep probably the most common complication for this surgery. I had a ton of it. Stitches near the vaginal opening itself came out / loose way too soon and made it worse.

I had to have several silver nitrate treatments over the few months up to over a year post-op.
