Best Surgeons and Medical Insurance for FFS in UK?

Hiya!

I'm planning on getting FFS later on into my transition, and will probably get it done in the UK if surgeons are equal in skill and quality to those abroad, so I was just wondering if anybody has had FFS done in the UK, and what were your experiences with it? Also, I've heard you need private medical insurance for FFS beforehand, so I was just wondering if this is true and what companies people used? Any help is greatly appreciated! ^_^

The people I know have all flown to Marbella and used Facial Team. With Easyjet the flights are cheap and available from several cities.

They all paid for it. The NHS does not offer FFS.

They're working on it. The powers-that-be have identified FFS as a high-priority, essential service for trans women, and they're working hard to get it on the list of procedures that are automatically funded. It takes time for those cogs to turn, but it's highly likely that FFS will be funded on the NHS within the next few years.

They aren't currently, but there are some around - Paris Lees had hers done at London Bridge Plastic Surgery for example. But it's a bit of a gamble with the community not really able to judge the quality of previous results.

Thanks for all the advice guys; it's been really helpful After looking up Facial Team I think I'll have it done with them in Marbella ^_^
