I honestly did not expect a guy to ask me for dinner and movies for a Monday night (popcorn too), but a guy I met last weekend bought me 3-Bloody Marys ask me out.  We spent the whole night together (no sex). Hes not rich. Hes a bartender, but he makes great money and is a science fiction nerd. We have general interests.

Im not going to keep my hopes up, but this being my first date, would you consider him wanting a relationship with me serious??? Other guys talk bull, but hes serious.

Sounds like a relationship with him has potential. I wouldn't consider it serious until after a few dates. Hugs

The trick is to take it one step at a time. But it sounds like a good start! Congratulations!
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

what is it really like to date a guy?  is dating as a woman so much different than dating as a boy?

It was a nice date and all, but true love will not be found here. I saw the ending when I realize he is most likely just wants a friend with benefits as far as with me. (we didnt have sex)

I sent him a text and he ignore it. Its been 3 or 4 days. He probably thinks Im boring.

I shouldnt have high expectations. But it was worth the thrill of being on a legit date.

Cis women go through this all the time.  It's no surprise that trans people do, too.  You deserve a lot of credit for putting yourself out there and giving it a try.  Don't be discouraged!  You never know how the next person might turn out!

Very true statement. Cis & TG women are no different in terms of the same issues when it comes to dating men. Testosterone turns men into "a dog in heat".

I think on some level the good and bad guys are the same. They all want sex & want into your pants, it's just that some men actually want the loving relationship that goes with it, while others just want a quick fix like a drug addict. You just have to take the time to sort through each person to find out which category they fall into.

This. We can't expect dating to be any better than it would be for a cis woman, lol. There's a lot of bull->-bleeped-<- to go through with guys. I went on a date last month, and things were great. Suddenly he stopped talking to me, for no reason. Ladybruhs, keep in mind... men are frustrating!

This. Worked in a big hotel with a few bars. Got to know and party with the bartenders. They really are whores. Just keep that in mind. Also, congratulations!
