Need advice about coming out

Hey I'm sophia and I'm wondering if anyone has advice for me to coming out to my class.

I am in high school and i decided to come out as transgender to my class. I go to a school where i only have 6 or 7 sutudents in the class. I'm not sure how i should come out to them. I'm nervous about it but no matter what i want to tell them. I have no clue how i should come out to them.

Hey Sophia! I am also In high school and came out at the end of 8th grade, so I think I can give you some help on the subject. 1) come out to some peeps who are your friends. Just try to get Connections with people you trust and then focus on coming out to the whole grade. Just from personal experience, I came out at a dance and that was really easy for me however j don't know what the vest solution would be for you. Feel free to PM me further!

If you have a school consoler, you should talk to them first. The school principle or your class teacher if nobody else is available. However, you may be getting things a bit out of order because the normal sequences for handling things would be parents first, Therapist and then school. Your therapist will help you deal with the school and advise the school about the best way to handle this.

I have talked to my therapist and i came out to my mom. I also came out to my teacher and she is very supportive. I just don't know how i should come out to my class. I feel like I'm ready to tell them and i also know all my school policys for transgender students.

When you speak to them keep it simple and avoid telling them everything you know. Maybe a little history about your self and your plans for the short term future. They may say cool and that is the last time they will talk about it. They may have more questions that they may be ask latter. Make a outline of your speech with the talking points or write out what you want to say so it will be fresh in your mind. If you have an outline, take it with you so you can remember what you want to say if you have brain freeze.
