I finally got the news: the fifth of May will be my last appointment with my shrink before I can start hormones! <3 YATTA!

I also (finally) got my referral for starting laser hair removal, which I've attended two days ago. The pain is definitely real, but I can already see relatively big patches of facial hair disappearing. 2017 is looking to be awesome!

Galyo - that's awesome.  The pain on laser decreases with each session so consider that the hardest part is all done.

What made me happy today is I have officially joined the wonderful world of HRT! Got my Rx filled and applied today without the hoped for fanfare, bells, whistles or ticker tape parade. I'm still doing the proverbial back flips and cartwheels over starting. So now it's time to let the patients reign and enjoy the outcome with out the high expectations.

Congratulations Trillian. Sorry about the fanfare, parades etc, I guess I forgot to order them for you. Even so I'll  wager your own internal euphoria would out shine any of the external partying.

  Hugs,

I found out a waxing center near me gives a free service to new customers. Gonna get my eyebrows waxed this week!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

How did it go?
Pretty rubbish to be honest. I got stood up :(
Still not all bad, my cousin met me at a local pub, to rescue me a bit.

Today I had several great things...

An old friend from high school was in town and we had dinner and drinks at one of my local hangouts.  The owner of said hangout, a close friend, commented on how skinny I was (despite how pudgy I was feeling today).  Then after dinner I visited a neighboring bar owned by some other friends and my friend there told me he could hear that my voice was sounding better.  Note that he is aware of my surgery and the comment was in regards to the surgery.  This made me so happy.  :)

Congratulations.  Lack of fanfare is definitely a downer to go with the euphoria. Sorry you had to experience that too.  I hope you have as positive an experience as a lot of us are having.

I went to the Saturday meeting of the Minnesota Transgender Alliance and talked with the woman I had recognized at a previous meeting but couldn't place. It turns out we had been in the same social circle 20 years ago. It was great getting caught up.

Thank you! That's great to know! I'm looking forward to doing more laser therapy, seeing as I'm already starting to see less of my facial hair.

I played in a scrimmage for the first time since before I left for Seoul. It feels good to have skates back on my feet.  :)

Although I am a bit sore today...stoopid knees

Started prepping to get my bike out on the road again and remembered the great feelings of cranking along.  Happy, except my butt that has not been connected to a saddle in a few years...that might not count as actually happy (sore) ;)

I got a couple of waterproof event signs finished up for the March 31 event.

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

My hair is starting to get pretty long! While I am pre-everything and still seriously questioning and plucking up the courage to make an appointment with a therapist at least with longer hair maybe I can 'see' the other me. Still a way to go tho...

For what its worth I went into my first therapy session wearing a suit. . . that was 17 years ago.  Been out full-time for 12 years. A good therapist will listen to you and likely be unconcerned with what you're wearing at the moment . . .
