Well this was unexpected

I got a phone call from the human resources manager where I work and she told me that I had to use the women's bathroom and can no longer use the men's.  Now just to be clear I had been using the men's bathroom because I was afraid of getting in trouble with HR for using the women's only to get in trouble for using the men's.  I would have never guessed that HR would prefer me to use the women's bathroom but I'm ecstatic that they do and thank God I don't have use the men's anymore.  Life sure is weird sometimes.

Congratulations on your male fail Amy!  I assume you are out to your HR folks already and they might not want you to have issues that get everyone in trouble?

Yes I've been out for a while.  we've had quite a few new hires lately who don't know me and some have walked in the men's room while I was in there and thought they had entered the ladies room by mistake.  I think they reported it to HR which actually turned out good for me.

Amy, that is fantastic! Did it bother you that you got any attention at all from HR? Leaving aside the fact that it was favorable attention, that is.

No it didn't bother me at all.  They were actually concerned about my well being.

Always a good situation. I had something similar happen shortly after I went full time, it wasn't management but a coworker who told me she had a recommendation. I was ready for her to give me advice on hair or clothing or something but no. She told me I should use the ladies room because I might confuse people if I went into the mens room. Then again I just explained to her that I haven't used the men's room sense I went full time. Still great when someone else tells you.
