Housing Update 04/19/16

I went to the Department of Social Services yesterday  and was told that I would have to accept wherever they put me because my 30 days of emergency housing is up. I went to the place they sent me and the landlord refused to even show me the room without a payment gaurentee in hand. The room contains a bed and a mini fridge. That's it. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with 15 other residents. What I did see of the building was disgusting and not fit for human occupancy. I refused to accept it. I went back to Social Services and told them that the place was unacceptable. They responded with cutting all of my aid. The shelter will give me another day or two, but I will be on the streets again by the end of the week.
