Thank you, Dena. I'm working on building the skills to replicate this myself... And maybe how to get that feminizing effect without *quite* so much make-up. I should probably be practicing right now, in fact.

I don't think I pass, particularly, in either photo... But. On the way in to the salon, I had a guy run at me from across a parking lot yelling "dude! hey, dude!" and when I scowled at him, he smirked and said, "you look great, honey," while tying to give me a big manly handshake. It was weird and upsetting. On the drive home, though, I got no looks at all. So at least from a distance I wasn't setting off any alarms. That was kind of nice... I'll take that every day.

Good internet is the best thing in the world. :) (Well, okay, it's up there anyway.)

You girls all look amazing... And Solstice, Naomi71, I love your dresses. :)

Women in business often do handshakes so that in it's self doesn't tell you if you have been read. What will tell is the amount of grip. Woman to woman is a very light grip instead of the firm grip that men use.

Yeah, it's hard to describe in words... But if you've ever seen a guy wind up for a handshake, elbow out, hand at shoulder level ready to swing down and grab yours... That was the way he was coming at me. I told my friends it was like he was trying to congratulate me on winning the Super Bowl.

This is before the make up... I did have a nice skirt and blouse on though.

OK, here are some pics again. I actually do like a couple of these. :D And hey, I was *feeling* fabulous, no matter how I looked!

No make-up in the magic bathroom mirror:

With make up in the magic bathroom mirror:

Before/after at the salon (and damn does the 'before' side of this make me sad... especially since it's how I look most of the time, at work and out and about):

Finally a bonus "I like this dress" picture:

So anyway, don't do what I done did, kids. Get your hormones early and often. :D

In other news, I just noticed how unbelievably slow photobucket is. Maybe that was the problem before? If you have trouble seeing these, let me know, and I'll figure out another hosting solution.
You look really great!  That makeup look is pretty good on you, but I think you could look even better with a more specialized for you look.  Like if you pick just a couple of your features that you like most and accent those, you could get a makeup look that looks better than the whole works and would be easier and faster to apply.  Or at least that's my personal preference.  [emoji2]
Also!  I think it would look spectacular if you did something more feminine with your hair, which wouldn't be difficult at all. Maybe grow it out more or just throw in a bow.  I think that would tie your look together very nicely.

Still pretty insecure about my looks. Especially since I don't have naturally straight hair.

Wow you look so cute! Don't worry about the hair, I've got curly hair myself and personally, I think it looks WAY nicer :P

Makeup makes a drastic change on you and I think with time you will only get better. The after picture appears feminine to me and I think you are about ready for prime time.

As for Photo Bucket. I just greatly increased the speed of my internet connection because these pages had so many pictures on them, they took forever to download at 1.5 Mbits/second. My connection will get better but I am now at 25 Mbits/second and the pages come down a whole lot faster. Can't wait for it to get to the 45 Mbits/second the service guy promised me.

agreed, as for speed yup i know the feels.

i am lucky enough to have fibre to the premises, but alas the modem is terrible and i be lucky to hit 1.4megabtes per second.. :(  i am supposed to be at 100mbs down and 40mbs up :)

A boyfriend told me I'm changing very rapidly, but I can't see it.....

Thanks, Amanda! I love the flower-in-the-hair idea. Otherwise growing it out is happening... at the speed of growing hair. :P

What I like about your pics is they *don't* look overly made-up. You can see the eye-liner and lipstick but that's about it. But it's still a big change from the no-makeup pics you posted in the "Could I Pass" thread (and looks great, of course).

That's a great outfit, Naomi, and your hair and eyebrows are very feminine. I see it most in this third image... there's something very womanly about this photo. :)

Haven't been around here lately, but wanted to post a little update. I've been on HRT for 6 months and full time for 3 weeks and wanted to specifically thank Dena, who told me that estrogen would treat me very well (she was right!) and suzifrommd for always being there for me through a really difficult time in my life.

This is my first ever photo of me as myself.  This is pre-HRT.  I just had my very first makeup lesson and figured I had should record the moment for posterity.  It came out all right, all things considered.
