You look great Alora. I can't wait till my hair is that length, blond tempts me too >_< but I don't wana bleach and loose hair quality lol
You to Wednesday, your face looks so plump and fem, I hope my face fills in a little more, soften some of my edges.

And here is a no make up selfie, I have become more dependant on makeup to feel more passable. But today even without it, I'm feeling confident.

And here is how I feel now that I am finally allowed to grow my hair, I have been growing it all my life but being forced to cut it at like 6" all the time

Rock on Christine!!!! ...Sister... You are going places!!!!...Gorgeous in make up... Gorgeous au Naturale!!!

Hugs!!!

I Am Jess

So many beautiful ladies. What strikes me the most is how happy everyone is and much your smiles shine.

I was at the doctors office yesterday waiting for the doctor to come in and thought the lighting looked very good. So I took a picture.

Va-va-voom, girl! :-)

Yes, the smiles, right? We all remember when smiles were absent, or hollow, right? And we all know there are other sisters out there, that don't yet believe that THEY could be fabulous, that believe their insecurities, and hold onto the lies told them by their parents, friends, and society.

Here is a pic of me after a year or so of HRT, two years before surgery, but still, I am all smiles, because by this point, I know myself, know my path, know what I have been missing all along. It doesn't matter that my face hadn't changed much yet, that I had barely any electro, that I had thin lips, fat arms, or that my spouse was now gone, or that I was in the process of losing and liquidating everything I had built up in my life. I am happy. I can see that I already knew what I was going to do..

I was gonna be FABULOUS!!! :-)

And nobody, nothing, was gonna stop me!

When we smile, we smile for those that are still searching for their happiness, too. They need to see us, to see themselves in us, just as we once saw ourselves, even if for just a second, through those that came before us. We are all in a line, a line that extends into the past, populated by the brave souls that paved the way, and the line also extends forward, to include those of us yet too frightened to risk revealing ourselves...

I celebrate our fabulousness with great joy, we deserve the rewards after taking the risks, and I celebrate those that don't quite share our joy, not yet, because one day, maybe some day soon, those girls will take their places in this line of fabulousness, and find that missing smile, and light in their eyes, and know joy and happiness, also.

Here's to fabulousness, past, present, and future!!

Rock on, sisters, you are all fabulous!!

I Am Jess

So right Missy. I remember coming here and thinking there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I knew I was going to make it here. In a few days I will be celebrating the 2 year anniversary of the start of my official transition journey. Just a few months before the feelings I had been repressing came flooding back. This picture was taken exactly 2 years ago. You can see the happiness.  This was before I had started anything

This is how I presented myself to the world at that time.

And this is how I present myself today.

So it is possible to look and feel fabulous, even in your 50's.

OMG Christine I love the hearts. I'm so jealous of all you ladies with your natural hair. Maybe some day, but I'm afraid Father Time was not kind to me. [emoji17] I'll just have to get used to wigs.

Okay haven't been on in a long time, I drive a truck and my last photos were pre everything.
This is about 7 months on hormones, I need more electro, I'm pretty happy with results so far.

I feel like a butterfly emerging from her cacoon, I'm finally starting to live.
