Just a head's up to those of us in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area: Canadian wildfires have spread so far south that it smells and looks like the smoke from a campfire when you step outside.

Many people are calling 911 and flooding the City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County dispatch centers reporting fires -- this is not the case.

Please be careful, especially if you are allergic to smoke or ash or have any kind of allergies. Local agencies are recommending you keep your windows and doors shut and use your air conditioning or -- at minimum -- an air purifier as much as you can.
