Hi everyone.
I'm not really sure where to put this, so I post it here. This is the first time I'm posting a photo of me anywhere.

While it's  hard to tell from the picture with just a head shot and nothing to compare to in-frame, it looks like besides being heavy you may also have a big build... if so that does make things harder... and I speak from experience in that. It gives you less leeway with other things.

I agree bangs would help but what would help more would be boney FFS along with a scalp advance.

Beside the big forehead you also have a noticeable brow ridge. While it is not that big, it can be seen and is a male characteristic.  Good boney  FFS can get solve both issues (I don't know who is best for such work these days... i had FFS back in 1999 with Dr. O who invented boney FFS and is now retired)

Getting rid of the brow ridge and setting back the forehead would open up your eyes a good bit... From personal experience I can tell you that makes a surprising amount of difference.

Weight is a funny thing. Some pass much better when they lose weight and some not... it all depends on overall build/proportions and what HRT does overall. HRT effects were subtle for me (i started at about 40)

For myself losing too much weight makes make me more readable - but being heavy (as I am) has other negatives.

On the plus side it does look like your hair is thick so in the long run you will be able to do more things with it... Mine is VERY fine (as well as having  thin spot on top) which limits my options.

You have a bit more work to do. If you can afford it consider FFS. If not then then you really should do bangs.

Good Luck,
- Karen

Obviously I am the female in both these pics. I have always run myself down about passing. I think it is more noticable to your own self because you can see where the masculinity is especially in the brow ridge/nose/jaw

You look so much natural and beautiful. Passing really matters?

Yeah, I've always had a fivehead. ;)

I'm happy though and that's what counts.

Yes, absolutely!  And as I mentioned in my previous comments about your look, you have an amazing smile!  And that smile easily expresses how happy you are on the inside!  Totally!

Tucking is always an issue, but people do not pay attention to it, although I am not quite sure.
My first day at a beach for this summer.

The sun light was too much strong, urging me to wear a hat.

You're passing 100%. If you go for facial surgery it would be just for cosmetic purposes only.

I'm agree she's passing 110%. I did read her as a cis woman, and perhaps her best friend. (You get it, if you read a earlier comment in that thread) But anyway, in my opinion cosmetic stuffs aren't necessary. She's pretty and she is lucky with her appearance. Not everybody are so lucky. ;)

Actually I'm pretty much agree with you. But I admit I have many times thought some people needs FFS etc. to pass, but has not mention it so much. I dare to say people doesn't pass, but urge to surgeries is something I've always been concerned about. I don't want to be guilty for someone undergo a surgery that might fail or something they regret at. HRT, haircuts, makeup etc. aren't so permanent as surgeries. I don't want people to feel the pressure to undergo expensive risky surgeries just to pass. To pass might be a heavy pressure for some people.

Yes, you do pass. One thing I've noticed: It's much easier for many Asian people to pass compared to many European. It's because the sex features in many Asian genes are more androgynous, and therefor it's easier to do yourself more feminine or masculine. If you doesn't understand what I'm talking about, you can watch the video I'm linking to. Both genders in many Asian genetic are natural equal in height, shapes etc. Both genders is a bit smaller than the Northern European, they hasn't so much body hair and their facial features are more equal. I'm just talking from my own experience, what I've seen at the street, TV, news papers etc. You can google Kpop to see examples.

SPOILER ALERT! In this video a guy reveals to the watchers that he's a guy in this bra advert. But he's disguised as a woman in the beginning of this video. Yes, it's a Asian advert.

Yes. I also watched that ad video, thinking like you.
Yes. East Asian people generally have less skin hair than Europeans with huge variations among individuals. My wife and little daughter have more arm hair than me, although my wife does not have any noticeable leg hair. In my case, I used Tria to reduce leg hair, and it was quite successful.

A problem here is young girls tend to become fatter and fatter while young boys skinnier and skinnier. I do not know the exact reason, but the westernized life style together with huge dependence on cars for moving is certainly a major factor. Thus some boys are slimmer than most girls. On average, what I can say is that young men have prettier leg lines than young women here.

In my case, people used to say that my body gesture and sitting pose is more feminine. Of course, people used to say I look like a woman, or I have better be born woman when I was teen. They seldom used 'hansom', but mostly 'pretty' or 'cute' to praise my appearance.

My height is 6 feet, making me very tall with 4-inch heels. Even in European or both South and North American cities, I got a lot of attention both from men and women, even with flat sandals or sneakers. For example, a college girl at a public parking place in the D.C. area of the U.S. said hello to me, commenting "you are so much tall!" although I was wearing flat sandals.

Quote from: EmilyMK03 on July 07, 2016, 06:31:57 PMKristinaM, I think you also pass; you have a very cute look and an AMAZING smile!  And I love how happy the baby looks too!!!  But since you say you're self-conscious about being clocked, I will suggest this: don't put your cell phone in your front pocket.  Only men do that, from what I've seen.  Either put your cell phone in your back pocket (which I see young girls doing often), or put it in your purse/bag.  Putting the phone in your front pocket makes your silhouette look less feminine.. if it's in your back pocket, it's like a natural extension of your butt.  But in the front pocket... you have this bulge in the front of your pants, and it just messes up the clean lines of your figure.  Just remember not to sit on your phone if you put it in the back pocket, lol.  :)

D'awww, thank you both!  As for the cellphone issue, I noticed that right away after the pictures were taken.  It's a functional issue of the jeans I was wearing.  The back pockets have flaps and buttons so I don't put anything in them.  It's my only pair like that and I will never buy another!  I've been putting my cellphone in my back pocket for years, so this pair really threw me, lol.

That's my daughter btw, and I am so so so glad that she will grow up only knowing the new and improved me!  Her hair is kind of a golden strawberry and I hope it curls like mine when it gets longer.

Quote from: Wednesday on July 07, 2016, 08:24:24 PMYour results for just 6 months on HRT are really really good. You're very very difficult to read as transgender right now. Only a person who knows really good what to look for could tell, and this would be just because your brow ridge (and it's not even very noticeable). So If I were you I would stop worrying about passing issues.

Thank you, but I've been on HRT for just over 12 months actually.  Only full time for nearly 7 months now; that's when I came out at work finally.  The overhead sunshine lighting emphasized my brow in those shots, I won't disagree.  I'll just carry an umbrella everywhere from now on, haha.  Depending on how hormones continue to treat me I've considered some mild facial surgery on my brow and/or orbital sockets, the corners of my jaw line and possibly my nose.  Just a couple millimeters here and there though, nothing major like implants I hope.  Breast implants though may be inevitable; my girls are growing so slowly.  Thanks goodness for pushup bras!

Here's a recent. I get my smile [emoji19]. Sometimes I feel good about myself, most times I don't. What do you all think.

You doesn't pass as a cis woman. Perhaps getting some new glasses would help. These square masculine glasses would indeed make you appear more masculine. Your brow bridge and nose is another features that do passing harder.

You should be full time, or people would be suspicious. If they sees you presenting as male, they would think you're a woman who dress up. You looks feminine and cute for me. Your face could be a cis woman's one. But do you work out? If you do, you could consider to do lesser of it. I can see some muscles. (Yes, I know there both women and men with mucles after working out. But there are a difference between male and female muscles. From this picture it's hard to tell. But I can see some chest muscles that looks a bit big)

Sebby, this post got me all kinds of emotional, thankyou  :'(  :D :D
I don't actually work out, i'm super lazy LOL! But I have a super fast metabolism and i'm really slim so i'm not sure theres much I can do about my chest right now  :( I guess HRT will hopefully soften it all out, whenever that happens  ::)
