Does anyone know of any resources (web sites or books etc) I can look at that discuss feminine deportment. I'm keen to ensure my movement and mannerisms are as feminine as possible.

I think femininity and mannerisms are natural to those who are transsexual....
They are learned behaviors in GGs.  TSs have to learn them, too.

I personally watch other women and learn from them. I did find that HRT has helped or sped up my feminine traits as I feel completely female and act so. For me it came naturally, in other words I didn't have to think about it. But I must have leaned my behaviors from the media and other women withought being consciously aware of it.

Sorry... It's a little booklet written by a dance instructor while she was transitioning.  It's called "Creating a Feminine Carriage - Figure, Posture, Walk & Gestures"  By Elaine Sagant.

It's available at the IGFE Bookstore for under $15

If you're just starting out, it'll help you become convincing fast.

If you've been at this a while, you'll still learn things which will help and add polish to your presentation.

Pink carts are a must... specialy for the pony club ;)

Its funny, i found when i started hrt, i subconsiously mimiced my peers, and my behaviour came naturally. sometimes learning specifics, usually from a m2f or cd point of view can be detramental to passing, if you look too robotic in your feminity, its gonna show.

Now I have a mental image of a woman in Victorian clothing, in a horse drawn carriage. Must be from a movie I saw. Or a past life  ;)

You can copy me! :D  Kidding! I'm probably the worst person you could copy, ever.

I think learning dance is a good start if you're transitioning in either direction. Men and women learn dance in different ways. The men learn to stand up straight, to look strong, and to have confident movements. The women learn to be graceful, poised, and confident. I would suggest a good modern dance course. (I'm taking modern now and will be learning Graham Technique next semester -- fun!)
