Today. I was at the restaurant, and I wasn't able to pay for my meal with my debit card. A coworker I didn't see decided to pay for it... I feel sick to my stomach and then I went to get money to pay her back... She decline and I still hated the fact she paid for it...

Any advice?

Best things I can think of... pay it forward!

I am over it now. Damn, I almost had a mini panic attack, but I thought it over, and I offer to pay... and she decline, what can I do? Nothing. Moving on.

Seconding the pay it forward idea - there's nothing wrong with receiving things if you give back to someone in some way :)

Don't feel bad! I have done this for people and it is a bigger deal for them than it is for me. :) I don't mind doing it at all for someone now and then, they would probably feel terrible to know that you were embarrassed or guilty.

She's a co-worker so maybe you can bring her a coffee or drop off some breakfast danish to her or something. At least it would show your appreciation. Mostly cuz' you took the time to care. Just as she did with you......amd got you out of a jam...yay!
