Hi, everyone,

Where you able to have a smooth transition from male to female? Unfortunately, it was difficult for me. I started with facial surgeries and had to undergo twice to get to the shape I wanted. I had breast implant surgery a few months back. But it was a failure. And I need additional surgery to deal with complications. I feel numbness. My surgeon was not at all bothered post surgery. He sent me off with painkillers when I visited him. After consulting with my primary doctor I saw another surgeon who told me that the silicon has caused infection. I was in tears. I did all this without the support of anyone. Now I am suffering all alone. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I read online that surgical errors can get compensation. Do you think I should file a case aginst my surgeon for not following up my concerns post surgery? I don't have anyone to ask for an opinion. Please share your opinion on this.

Next week I will be undergoing a surgery to correct. Please support and pray for me.

Lucymf,

Infections with any surgical procedure are a small, but real complication. Even with the best of technique, infections sometimes happen. Silicone breast implants themselves do not cause an infection. The surgery to place the implant in your body somehow caused the infection.

Numbness is common after every surgical procedure. After about 6 months to a year, most all of the normal sensations will return.

Weather or not to file a lawsuit is up to you. But ask yourself 2 things. Were you advised of the risks? Did you surgeon follow the accepted standards of care for your procedure?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
