Not dreaming as in "What the future may bring"or daydreaming. I'm taking about going to bed, falling asleep and dreaming.

Until recently I've been one of those people that fall asleep and remember absolutely nothing upon waking. As near as I could tell I did not dream. (yeah, I know everybody dreams) I would have no memory of dreaming at all with rare exceptions.  Usually those exceptions would be a nightmare of some sort to wake me up because I was sleeping on an arm, or as I got older a hip or knee was hurting and I needed to shift position. Another reason was to wake me for a bathroom break, etc.
This has recently changed. I am now having other dreams. Dreams of a more enjoyable nature. In the ones I remember I'm a woman, doing pleasurable female things. Last night was a bit different still. It was, well, on the erotic side. (I haven't had one of those it forever) I was female in this one too, though not human. I was pursued by an alpha male and caught. "Blush" I woke without the dream getting into the details but suffice it to say I was not unhappy with the situation.
I am not used to having dreams, let alone enjoyable ones. This is new territory for me. It brings up memories of my teenage years and hearing all the girls, in a twitter, relating their latest nocturnal adventures. Of course being a boy I was not privy to the "good" ones.

I brought this subject up because it's weird to me and I am curious if others have had similar experiences. Perhaps it's a result of the HRT. Perhaps it's my feminine side emerging. I have no idea what the cause may be. It is just something new for me.

   Thoughts?

Hugs,

Hi Jeanette,
I have found that the more in touch with my girl side I get, the more in touch with EVERYTHING I get!
Stay relaxed, enjoy the sensations. Oh, and give us details! (when you can)

I had a dream last night, the first one that I remembered longer than the first hour after waking up, aside from my "sick" (explained later) dreams.  This dream was me in heels tryin to step over a gate, onto a stair, that was so smooth that it was slick.  Every time I did, I would fall, and then reset to the beginning again.  It felt like I did it a thousand times before I got it right, at which point I woke up.

"Sick" Dreams explained:

Every time, without fail, the night before I wake up sick, I  have one of 2 dreams.

Dream 1 is myself and my Sister and brother are in my childhood home(brother never lived in it) it is one of those that you could walk around the house and not backtrack and end up where you started.  We caught a spider, and put it in an old Fireman's hat toy.  It would run around and around, and started growing, then jumped out and kept doing it around the house.  We would hide in the cushions of the couch, and the spider eventually busts out of the house.

Dream 2  My Mom Dad and I are at supper, and dad is cutting a steak.  The problem is the steak just gets bigger, and never cuts.  We would take it out to the garage, and he would keep changing tools to get it cut.  But it never works.
All the worlds a joke, and the people, merely punchlines

I believe it is the HRT. Since I began it my sleep quality has improved massively, my dreams are no longer just disturbing social situations/nightmares I can barely remember.

I remember reading mens' and womens' brain hemispheres communicate most efficiently in different ways. If it's noted that trans people's brains have more in common structurally with those of the sex they identify with, and that hormone therapy tends to make their brains function they way they "should" (reduced stress and anxiety, people tend to feel better, happier and healthier on the correct hormone) I guess the brain is operating better during sleep too, maybe the bits of it are communicating with each other better, all spark plugs firing properly.

My dreams are a lot more vivid now and I can usually remember at least some of them, and they're not unpleasant. Definitely not as weird as they used to be.

Not long after starting HRT my dreaming increased substantially as did my sleep quality. (they also became more vivid) My ability to remember those dreams also increased. I have romantic (not sexual very often) dreams frequently as well. Sometimes they are about my spouse, sometimes they are about other people.

Although i have always been bisexual, i have seen an increase in both dreams and in real life attraction to men. That is either from HRT or from mental changes brought on by it.

Last night it was trying to get a car up a hill and onto a freeway with minor flooding going on a traffic jam. My wife and I then had the idea to go to the other on-ramp and go the other direction on the freeway to turn around at the next exit. The entire time she was telling me about a business idea called " donks" which was converting some sort of tree product into something else.  Dreams can be very very random and being able to remember that detail now six hours later was a rarity in the past.

I noticed a distinct change in my dreams after starting progesterone.  More vivid, detailed, I'm female in them, and I remember them now.  I have them every night, too.  Without fail.  I always take my prometrium at night and I call it my dream pill to my wife.  Also, I have many dreams where I am topless trying to cover myself up...what is up with that?

One of my cis girlfriends told me she had a dream that she, another girlfriend and I were in the bathroom shaving our toes.  My wife came in to use the bathroom and I was the only one naked.  ...what's up with that?
Some people say I'm apathetic, but I don't care.
