Hi, everyone!
I just wanted to share with you that last night for the first time I wore publicly female clothes and I asked to be called by the corresponding pronouns. Everything went pretty well, no one got mad at this and now I don't have time now to explain it broadly, but I felt happy, like more connected with the friends I met and although the first awkward moments I was more comfortable than other times expressing myself ^^

Congrats! It is such a smart thing to do when trying to figure things out. Experience can either tell you it is not right for you, or it can drive you to want more. So happy for you.

Hey Q,

That is a nerve racking step to take and I am glad you did it. I've been out publicly interacting with others once. So far only once. I went to a tran-women support meeting in Portland. It isn't easy to do, but YAY! you did do it!
Before you know it you'll be running around everywhere all the time. LOL Unless you're a chicken like me then it might take a little longer. But you, (and me too)  will get there.  Heady stuff isn't it?

  Hugs,

Congrats... Going out the first time is a huge step and gives you a lot to digest... To go out in public for the first time and realize that ... Hey!... It's not like the end of a Frankenstein movie with angry villagers chasing me with torches and pitchforks!!!

Keep experimenting and exploring and what you want and need out of all the things you have always felt will become more clear...

Onward we go!!!

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

Thank you so much for your comments, they encourage me to continue with it! ^^

It wasn't an easy decision, and it took some months of preparation for the moment (I usually need a very very long time to prepare for everything I want to do in my life and generally to express anything I have in my mind, and also I've always been a bit like a roller coaster, and this is something that complicates my decisions xD).
I had only a little walk with friends after having dinner in my house and except for some stranger staring with a weird face at me, it felt kinda freeing and like the right thing to do.
Now I want more and I'm sure I will repeat in the near future if the circumstances allow me :)

Oh come on Q!! Make up and dressing doesn't take THAT long. (Making up your mind about what to wear may though)  LOL I'm just kidding but umm those ARE your words. I just picked the ones I wanted to repeat.

Wanting more? omg yes! Much of what we do with this part of our lives is addictive isn't it? And much of it is hard.  But as with any addiction we have to keep doing it.

I'm glad it was a positive evening for you Q.

HI Q,

Stay where you feel safe for now and gain comfort... its when you start going en femme to the store, the bank, the dentist, veterinarians office, to have your motor oil changed and everywhere else life takes you that you will see if this is the direction for you!!! Do not expect yourself to pass to those you encounter... If passing means everything... An amazing journey can quickly become a path to misery... At the core of all this is self acceptance with a bit of courage thrown in to live as you choose!!! Happy Explorations my friend!!!

Onward we go!!!

Funny you mention those things.  I've been full time since March 2nd.  Before that I would never be Denise in my own town.  But when I went full time that meant, grocery store, bank, oil change, the YMCA... All were nerve wracking at first.  But this is what I've discovered: people don't care.

I ran into people who I knew as Dan and nothing.  Actually kind of a let down.  No comments about anything.  It just reinforces the thought that no one really cares how you present (spouses excluded).

When I find myself apprehensive I take a deep breath close my eyes and get out of the car and go about MY business.

No body will give you a second thought.  If they do they are either jealous that you transitioned and they haven't or they want to take you to bed.  Those are the two reasons I think about and I give them a smile.

Ha!!!... Denise!!... So much like me and where I was!!!... Congrats on FT status!!!... Yes I decided very early on it would do me absolutely no good to transition and live in a safe vacuum... This is about living and engaging the world... 3.5 years ... I have never had a bad experience with anyone, anywhere!

Onward brave sisters!!!

Oh, I would haver never thought that, but those are good news, and actually, it's how people must behave usually, not like those feeling so offended when others just live her, his or their life (see here in Spain the HazteOir's bus, they are now making the fool of themselves basically).
I'm glad about your full-time experience, who knows if someday I will go for it too when I have my mind a bit more clear :)

Let's live our lives!

That first time out as your properly gendered self is always so amazing.  I have good news for you too, that feeling will repeat itself over and over again as you venture out to new locations, new situations and interact with new people.  I'm not sure at what point it becomes natural and old hat because I've not reached that point yet, but I'm enjoying every "first" as I hit them right now.

Congrats theqnoumenon!

This is something I'm looking forward to do at some point, but I'm actually kind of afraid of this town I live in. Here's to more successful outings! :)
