A good charbroiled steak, cooked blue rare to rare, seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic only. None of those sauces that only cover up the flavor.

Not even ketchup????

..... but there are so many good ones......

I have a lot of favorite meals but the one food item would be real sourdough bread....something I can no longer have since going gluten free has helped my stomach/gut....  :'(

No, Cricket. I said "No sauces" ....  make it so.  I knew a woman once that invited me to dinner for barbecued steak.
She drenched it in bottled BBQ sauce and grilled it.  I've said enough ....

Well you don't cook it with the sauce duh... that's for chicken.  ;D

You only use sauce if people are rude and over cook it, because who wants a steak that is yucky and isn't mostly pink inside?

Pink is overcooked. Condiments are for hamburgers. Cordial cherries are to be savored for dessert.

That's my sister... she likes her steak to moo.... (I like it slightly less able to talk but maybe able to moan)... but I do not grill and my mom refuses to let it speak to us from the plate.

JeanetteLW, I'm mostly trying to eat vegan now but guiltily love a steak, however scarcely. But I'm no purist and I love sausces (maybe not tomato but sauce is great)

Niki Knight, I think you and I are quite alike with chocolate and coffee; they are my primary vices.

Besides chocolate and coffee I love pancakes. Pancakes are amazing, they have such humble beginnings as the food of peasantry. Now you can buy them in fancy cafe's and restaurants, you can dress them up or down for the occasion. I personally would favour a classic roadside diner style, thick, fluffy pancake stack with a little syrup and a coffee. Wearing my flannel like a lumberjack somewhere in Canada, looking out the window at thick evergreen forests. That's my meal.

I've been buying pizza dough (I know, very lazy) and making my own pizza recently, kind of addicting to try out different stuff on it. Really liking that at the moment, trying to eat a little healthier so not using a much cheese.

I know. It's kind of disgusting but at the same time in its raw wonderful state and the proteins and vitamins haven't been destroyed. I could eat buckets of it.

I suppose the good of it does add in the reasoning to do so. And as long as your taste buds like it too! Stiil, I will stick with my tacos or donairs :D!!

Carne Asada Fries! Or a good California Burrito (would recommend looking it up if you haven't heard of it)

Also a good pork broth Ramen (not the instant kind)

Sonoran Hot Dogs from El Guero Canelo in Tucson, Arizona.  There are others that are good but EGC makes my favorite.

Take a hot dog, wrap it in bacon, cook it on the grill, stuff it into a super soft bun with some beans, pico de gallo, and sour cream.  Add a bit of salsa verde and you're set for a wonderful trip into gastric distress.
As our ashes turn to dust, we shine like stars...
