Well, this is actually my 2nd post on coming out since I regrettably deleted my previous account (donor status and all too, bummer).

Just now I came out to my girlfriend's grandma.

My girlfriend has expressed that she may be transgender as well a long time ago to her grandma. Her first reply after telling her I may be also transgender was "So you two are going to trade places?" followed by "Thats why you are growing out your hair"...

Total acceptance. :)

Hi Alex,

I'm Laurie. Did you know you can get your old account back by asking a moderator or admin for help with it?

Welcome back btw. Glad you returned to us. You and your girlfriend are both welcome here. (((Hugs)))) to you both.
Come on in and sit right down. You know your way around here and what to do so I won't go into that. Just make yourselves at home and enjoy the party.

Hugs,
   Laurie

Hi and thanks for the welcome. I had deleted my account, and wanted it back the following day so I wasn't gone long.

I asked around and was told to contact Susan. I did email Susan a week ago and haven't heard back.

Okay I think I remember that if you posted about it. Let hope she still just busy and will get to it soon.

Update on the topic...

Came out to an old school friend. She said she "already knew" and that's why she offered me to borrow some of her clothes. Shes supportive as well.

Going good so far only for the fact I'm telling people I'm closest to. Everything will be much different when it comes time to tell family and co-workers, but that phase will have to wait in case all hell breaks loose.

Sorry about the double post, cant edit previous post.

I have now come out to all my closest friends. 4 are supportive and accepting. 1 hasn't responded yet. Then again its an easy thing to say to someone who lives over 700 miles away. Still a couple other non close friends to tell, but that may wait.

I've also come out to my girlfriends grandma since she visits us a lot. Shes accepting as well.

Pretty much the results as expected. I don't expect the remainder of people loosely in my life to be supportive or even accepting.
