Hey I'm wondering if anyone knows about or has experienced what I'm experiencing. So I am 5 and a half months post op and I have been having green discharge for months now. Over the past month I have went to two doctors and was told there was bacteria found in my urine. Basically I have had three courses of antibiotics which I finished 3 days ago and it seems like the discharnge is coming back more. While in the antibiotics the discharge did lesson a lot. The color of it it pretty green like a light green but can appear alittle yellow at times but it does look green to me. Do you think this is normal? I don't have any pains or burning symptoms so I don't know :/ thanks

Have you had it tested to find out what kind of bacteria it is? Maybe you can find a treatment specific to it.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Normally what you are experiencing would not be normal. Usually after 2-3 months everything is healed up and there isn't much noticeable in the way of dischargers. There is one possible exception that I don't know about and that's if your colon was used to create a vagina. In that case there is a larger amount of discharge but I don't know how much or what color. A gynecologist would be a good idea if you haven't had an internal examination yet and a urologist would be beneficial if you have continuous urinary tract infections. Make sure your urologist is aware of your surgical status as it's more difficult to control an infection in the prostate than a woman's urinary tract.
