Hello, I'm non-binary and I am considering buying Androgel online. I only want to be on it for a month, two months at max. What website is safest to order it from? What physical changes did you notice in the first month? Thanks.

May I ask why only two month?? T is a very very very powerful hormone, even moreso then E. It isnt something to kid around with and most certianly isnt something you should do without the proper doctoral supervision.

Have you thought about seeing a gender clinic? I know many clinics that specialize in gender spectrum that will allow a non-binary person such as yourself a low dose of HRT to see if it works and if it does you can keep on it.

Much luck!

I really only want one month, but two if I don't see too many changes. I don't want to go on low dose because I will have to be on it for a couple of months to see some changes, from what I have heard. Thats why Im considering just a month of T.

Again though, one month will not be enough. You will more then likley be started on a lower dosage anyway. Also, just taking a month of T wont do much, after you stop your estrogen levels will hike right back up and you will have your body re-feminize.

Ugh....I might as well just kms if I can't even be comfortable in my own body. I've been hoping so much that after a month of t the changes down there would stay at least, but I guess not. I have major dysphoria down there, so I'm doing anything I can to fix it but I don't want to be on T for a long time because I don't want to be a guy or look too much like a guy, therefore I only wanted a month. Fml if I can't even be myself.

Dont be so glum chum. I know people who were AMAB who took a low dosage of E, it feminized them alright but it wasnt enough to let them pass fully as female. It was there for the mental effect and a few changes. Good enough for NB folk, but a tester for full trans-women. I havent talked to many AFAB NB or even transmen but I would assume a low dosage of T could do you a trick or two.But it would probably have to be something you gotta do consitantly.

I can't live like that - constantly having to take low T or any T. I just want it to be a few times and then done for good. But I guess not. If I can't be comfortable in my own body there's no point in continuing.

Welcome to Susan's Place. HRT is very unpredictable and T is extremely potent. Some of the changes are permanent so you need to be aware of what might happen and be ready to accept any changes that could happen. We had a member who intended to be on T for a short period of time however in that period of time, the members voice broke. The decision was to remain on T until the voice stabilized and experience even more changes or to live with a broken voice. You can trust me on this because I underwent a great deal of expense and pain to undo the effect of T on my body. We are unable to fill your request for assistance in obtaining T through means other than a doctors prescription as it's a violation of TOS 8. I would suggest you see a gender therapist to determine what you desire and what is possible. Should you take this approach you should be able to obtain T at a lower cost that an online purchase.

I would be okay with some changes that last forever. I'm okay with a lower voice as well. I know that after a month on T your voice lowers permantly but what about growth down there? Is that forever as well? Because that is what I'm mainly after, because I have bad bottom dysphoria.

Voice, bottom, facial hair, adams apple growth, if you are young enough facial bones and hair loss can be permanent. The problem is it's unpredictable which will happen first and how much. This why you need to go into this with your eyes wide open.

So, the put things in perspective in terms of timeline: Most surgeons want you to be on T for at least a year, usually two, before they'll do a metoidioplasty, because it takes that long to ensure you've achieved maximum growth.

While voice begins to deepen right away, for most people it isn't noticeable to others until around the 2-3 month mark. And it usually takes around a year to finish dropping. There are a lot of people who've documented this stuff on Youtube if you want some references to get a better idea.

Everyone is different, and some people luck out, but realistically speaking you're going to need more than a couple months' worth of treatments.

I'm curious about why you're so set on only a couple months? Is it the cost? If so, there may be a clinic in your area that offers it on a sliding scale. Is it the fact that you need to apply gel every day? Consider that weekly or biweekly injections are a thing, and in a lot of places they're allowed to be self-administered. Is it that relying on a medication bothers you? Because if so, then I question how that could be worse than feeling dysphoria every waking hour for the rest of your life. It's no different than, say, insulin for a diabetic, or antibiotics for an infection. You may need it, at least for a little while, in order to remain healthy.
