Found an old picture of me at 17, it explains a lot.

I was about 17 and very girly. Almost wish I'd started HRT then.  ;) But, I would't be who I am today. Interesting though.

You've been able to keep your hair though!  That's a huge plus.  You'll get there!
you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

I'm with ya. I looked like a girl as a small boy and through my teen years. I didn't start puberty until I was almost 17, so you can imagine how I stood out like a sore thumb. My four years of high school getting bullied because of it were the worst years of my life. When I look back at old family photos I see a girl, and it's not my sister. ;)

I looked pretty much like a girl before transition too. My hateful idiot mother asked my boyfriend if he wanted to see a picture of me when I was 16 and still a boy. He said no, he didn't but she shoved it in his face anyway. I don't know what he was expecting but he said " you're supposed to be a boy in this picture? You look almost the same and you're even wearing makeup!"  Then he asked me if I had ever actually looked like a boy and before I could answer my dad and brother both said " No!"  Thankfully I didn't look like a guy in that picture. It could have made things awkward with Tristan.  I could just kill my mom sometimes.

You haven't changed much. Maybe a little taller Wanda Jane.
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

Wanda think long hair was definately a 60's 70's thing . . .

You look great kids today don't understand was the best time ever for America!!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Went outside and interacted with people in person mostly.

We read paper books, newspapers, watched over the air TV, listened to radio, used landlines, went to movie theaters and used snail mail. There was plenty to do and we could do much the same things you do today.

Except we didn't fall into manholes or walk off train platforms texting back in the good ol' days.  :)

Yeah, that's a big problem. My dad is always pulling people over for texting while they're driving. It's totally dangerous.

In the old days, you had to actually pick up the phone and talk. This often wasted a ton of time because of introductions and so on. Now a quick text takes care of it. Emails and texts are so instantaneous. But games are a big time waster, though... ???

Without caller ID how would you even know if it was someone you wanted to talk to??

You didn't. It was phone roulette.

Best wrong number story ever: Our town had two prefixes, your number started with a 335 or a 337. The local Chinese restaurant was 335-9672, we were 337-9672. We got calls for them all the time. My father used to take their order and tell them fifteen minutes!
