Megan.

That's good to hear,  and talking about it helps get through it. Look for those reasons to keep moving forward.
For me,  as a parent,  supporting my children means I will do anything,  if that means transitioning,  then that's what I do.

That's great! Building a toolbox of methods and tricks you know can help lift you out of the low times is invaluable. [emoji5]

I was also suicidal and nearly took my life. It was only at the last minute that I decided there was something I hadn't tried so I gave treatment a shot with the decision if it failed I could always finish the job. I still fought depression for years after that though at some point in RLE I was able to make progress in defeating the depression. It might have come sooner had blockers been available but in those days there was really only one way to control your testosterone levels.

Hi, Saira128.

It can and will get better. Exercise is a great way of coping. I try to keep my brain ( Yes, even my small one ) working on problems and tasks. I have PTSD and this is not help by long term depression since the age of 10.  The meds do help so don't fear them and keep working on that great project or activity. Thing do improve. Love+Huggs.

Have you considered Dialectical Behavior Therapy?  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialectical_behavior_therapy)  It was designed for people with borderline personality disorder in mind.   My sister did it and she said it helped her a lot.

Sorry if that's already been mentioned!

I had an appointment with a psychiatrist yesterday, and this was his diagnosis.
I didn't even know something like this existed.
After coming home, I read about borderline personality disorder on the internet, and I found out that many of the symptoms written, matched with what I experienced.

I an glad you are beginning to face the source of your problems. Now may be a good time to look back through all of our PMs and our discussions about my Dissciative Identity Disorder (an extreme personality disorder) and the effect sexual abuse had on you as a child. PM if you don't have them anymore and I will send you copies.
