Did you find a "sweet spot" for testosterone blood levels?

I just had my 4-month blood test (daily T gel), and it showed my T to be in the very low normal or just below normal (I've seen several variations on what range is normal) level for men. My doc is okay with this. I'm not sure. I'm seeing changes, body hair, bottom growth, and a little bit of voice change (mostly sounds like my original voice, but hoarse, mostly because my throat is constantly full of phlem), but is it the best, most efficient level for me?

I know too high does no good, and too low slows physical changes. But I'm not sure how high or how low those levels of concern are. Should I be asking about raising my dose?

well mine last measured 9 on the 8-50 normal female scale.  I think that's acceptable :)  Probably not the response to be anticipated though lol.   I think just like estrogen, mid range levels for the expected gender norms... perhaps higher in the beginning stages.

My T levels were about the same at yours at 4 months, maybe a little higher. That was after gradually increasing my gel dose over that period of time. All the changes you've had are about all that happens in the first few months.

Really, what I think you are asking is what is the lowest dose to affect the changes I desire and what is the highest dose that will still keep me out of jail? Not enough and you don't put any "meat on the hoof" so to speak. Too much can cause aggressive behavior that may draw the attention of local law enforcement officers.

Not everybody gets uncontrollable aggressive behavior from testosterone, but there are other considerations such as heart disease and other metabolic changes.

The recommended blood levels are 225–900 ng/dL for bio-identical testosterone. What ever dose gets you there is what your doctor will prescribe.

Mine are at the high end of normal for male. Lower and I will experience fatigue and problems healing. So far I've had no issue being on the high end besides a slight increase in RCB count and the associated increased stamina that goes with it. Which is easily remedied in 5 minutes if necessary with a phlebotomist.

I'm happy at the higher end of the scale, and using gel I can exert control over the dose myself if need be.
