Or the beginnings of boobs anyway. I've been having these aches behind my nipples for almost 2 weeks now, and the nipples are starting to get more convex. What I never thought about before, is that I will often read my iPad n bed with the bottom resting on my chest, this is getting uncomfortable now. Oh well I guess sacrifices have to be made.

Haha! Oh I went through that last year. Just wait until you open a door and it brushes over your nipple by accident. Youch! Don't worry though. The pain will subside in time.

Enjoy the pain, because it means that they are growing!

If I have trouble sleeping, the only way I can get to sleep is lying on my stomach.  It is very uncomfortable getting them aranged so they don't hurt.  Working in the yard with a shovel, sometimes I'll lean on the handle for a bit more leverage.  Ouch, mistake!

I realized early on that I needed to wear a sports bra, not just to hide them when in male mode, but to protect the nipples from chafing against my shirt.  Now I wear a padded bra for vanity, but the practical reasons still exist.  I used to trot down stairs - can't do that any more without a bra.  Since I don't like wearing one in the house, I learned to glide down stairs.

It's all good.  (Except they don't grow fast enough!  ;) )

I often suffer from aching breasts as well.

As part of my regime, I use electric breast milk pumps, which really develop my nipples and adjacent tissue. I can't go without an underwired bra any more and I am surprised by how much I sag!

But my nipples feel like they are made of lead, and I have found relief by using nipple shields in my bra. These are silicone teats which are designed to protect sore nipples when breastfeeding.

I slip them inside my bra cups, centre them on the nipples and I am set. Lots of support and no chafing or nipple squashing. The bra needs to be padded, though, otherwise the "points" can show through.

I mixed up convex and concave in my head at first and was picturing something very awkward.

First really cold day here (30F), got out of a nice warm bed and getting dressed noticed just how cold it was and my nips started to pucker and it hurt like hell!  Not until I put a bra on and all my outer clothes on and they warmed up did the hurting stop.  Walking around for about 20 mins. with my arms folded over my breasts and my wife laughing her butt off at me.  Never exactly told me about THAT.

Yay, something to look forward to.

Thank you all for the kind words. This is definitely an interesting time for me, soon a lot of the changes will be difficult to hide, and I'll have to start making some decisions. Anyway, I'm just enjoying the ride for now.

I think this phrase summarizes it perfectly, what we are all saying. "No pain, no gain!" Without the boob pain we can't have growth. So it's a give and take. We have to deal with negative in this case for the positive outcome. :)

Welcome to womanhood, the pain is part of the right of passage to becoming a woman.

When my nipples began hurting, I started wearing a padded sports bra daily to help protect my growing breasts.. the nipple shields are also a good idea.

Look at it this way, when cis-girls start experiencing nipple pain, they have the double whammy of starting getting their monthly's as well. We at least only get to deal with one thing. Then again, I would not mind getting monthly's as that would mean I would be able fall pregnant.

Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

I know what you mean... It makes me sad sometimes that I'll never know the joy of childbirth... Recently found out I'm sterile, too, so I can't even save any sperm to possibly make a child someday... [emoji22]

Even with a sports bra, running is no longer something I enjoy :(. The first km is really quite painful until they get used to it, haha.

It's a mistake to underestimate how much support you really need when growing. I thought that being small, I could wear a bralette or a soft cup bra. But I found that I suffered from "chest thumping" when using stairs.

I subsequently found that a plunge bra with a full underwire, some padding for uplift & nipple modesty, and especially with wide side panels was a lot more comfortable and secure. The plunge style is better than the balconette, as it allows more upper cup room for my nipple shields, which I really recommend that you try if you feel sore or wobbly.

Normally, bras in small cup sizes have narrow rear bands (with only 2 clasps), but I have noticed that wider bands are becoming available. I have just ordered a 38B with a 3 clasp deep back band and wide straps.

Frumpy, but supported & confident.

I've been wondering for a long time how a woman could wack their boob with a door. Then last night it hit me.

We need a rimshot emoji. Also, seatbelts, and computer case shoulder straps are starting to bug me.

Actually, I like seat belts, purse straps, or anything else that runs diagonally across the chest.  It draws attention to what little cleavage I have.  :)

Ouch. I had my two year old kick them a few times...
and then today I tried to climb a steep ladder to get on my roof. Last year not an issue, this time I gave up on the second climb... something was clearly in the way... ended up getting a longer, not so steep ladder to avoid bumping into the steps [emoji3]
