I don't know the situation in India but trans model Leyna Bloom appeared in Vogue India.

Trans models do seem to be "in vogue" in the west now, e.g. Andreja Pejic and Teddy Quinlivan.

I don't know the answer to the question but I have something for you to consider. Once you place that information on the web, there is no way you will be able to take it back. I am a private person and this is the only place I am out on the web. I don't use social media so this is the only place where my personal detail are visible. As you can see, I go by a 4 letter name which isn't common but You aren't going to find me with a search with just that information.

Over the short term, there might be an advantage to coming out but you need to determine if 10 or 20 years from now you might regret going public. I prefer not to risk being that public even though at my age I have little to lose.

I agree, as usual, with Dena.  A bell once rung can't be un-rung.  Consider going stealth first and see how things go.  You can always come out later.

But I'm no expert.

Modeling is a very competitive field and while it's important to have beauty, what's most important is personalty and image. Something that sets you apart from all the other models. I'm not sure how to say this, so read the whole thing before you get offended. In the porn industry, there is a pretty big following for transsexuals. They have been become increasingly more popular over the years. Most straight men find them attractive, though not many will admit it. They are known for being beautiful and sexy, and most importantly their big personalities. Please do not think i'm suggesting that you do porn. But in regular modeling world, transsexuals are like a unicorns. It is definitely something that will make you unique and not just another model. And knowing that your transsexual will make certain people drawn to you, whether you have the goods down below or not. A bit of mystery is always intriguing. It's at least something to think about. I wish you all the luck in your modeling career; ;)
If I've known you more than an hour, I prolly love you  :icon_redface:

I can't tell you what to do. It could help set you apart as someone else said, but it could also put a target on your back if people in your country happen to be unfriendly toward trans people. My understanding is that no one will hire hijras, but I don't know if that's considered the same thing.
