Hey guys! Long time no post!

So the last couple of months I've been dealing with consistent chafing when I walk more then like 2 or 3 blocks at a time. This will happen during exercise or hot days or any time I'm sweating which is all the damn time now. Its super uncomfortable and I cant help but try and relieve the area during hikes or walks down the street. It looks like I'm grabbing at my crotch....
I'm not having weight issues and my legs have actually lost mass since staring T. I know its because I sweat like crazy now. Someone please tell me this stops! Please tell me this is just growing pains and that my sweat glands will chill out after a year!

I started sweating a lot a few months into T. I never used to sweat much before and could even do a full work out without getting very sweaty. After T I would sporadically get the hot flash feelings where I'd just out of nowhere get really hot and start sweating even when it was cold. It calmed down after a while until I had my dose increased. It started again but eventually went away again too. Once your body gets used to the hormone changes it should calm down for you too. Just beware because T will change the smell of your sweat even after it settles down.

In the Army we used cornstarch sort of like baby powder on areas that chafed whenever it was hot. I think baby powder would be good too but we didn't want to attract mosquitoes with the scent.

Works well on the feet too. If you like to run or hike it helps reduce blisters.

TransAm I'll totally try that balm for now. I was just hoping that someone would tell me that by like 1 Year this will stop being a problem....I'm really over being sweaty all the time for no damn reason.  ::)

I wish I could, man. At a little over two years in, I'm still a sweaty beast. It's probably one of those YMMV deals, but it shows no signs of stopping in my case.

I'm not on HRT yet, and transitioning the other way, but this is a huge issue with my weight loss, though getting thinner helps a lot. Also don't make the mistake I did with hitting the hip adductor machine hard...you really don't want more muscles in this area...chafing is horrible no matter what gender...

I used to be super skinny when I was younger, and walked all over the place and never had this problem.

I gained quite a bit of weight later, and this became a big problem. And of course, walking a lot less added to the weight problem...

It is a lot more of a problem if you are sweating. Take your walks at dawn/dusk/night and there will be less reasons to sweat. If you are already irritated there, you just have to take a break, unfortunately...

Also, men's clothes, especially jeans, are a lot thicker and rougher, and thus tougher on the inner thighs than women's are...

Unfortunately, I live in LA the land of 75F+ year round and sitting in the car home or walking to the corner store will be enough for me to get swampy down there... Shorts, jeans, underwear, comando etc.
I was thinking of switching up underwear to help with breath ability. Hoping this will work....

whether your sweating balances out or not is entirely on you. everyone is different. I sweated (I don't care if that's not a word) much more when I was younger. Since your're starting T that's basically where you are. Chafing .. ACK! .. horrible deal.

It really should ease up over time. !cotton undies!  I'm glad that you found a balm that works for you. I wish I had known all these years ago.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

No problem, man! It's some amazing stuff; I use it before working out all the time and it's never failed. I'm glad it worked for you, too.
