A leek is an mild onion. It looks like a giant green onion. Has an oniony garlicy flavor.

I'm having a salad. Mixed greens, chick peas, black olives, red peppers, celery, cucumber and falafel. With olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper

I have a doctor appointment on Friday and they're gonna weigh me. Last time I was weighed was before I started mtf hrt 3 and 1/2 months ago I was 180 at 5'8". I'd be super disappointed if I didn't lose weight.

A minor plumbing disaster made my kitchen into a construction zone for a week.
Yesterday I finally got my kitchen back! Yay!
Last night I made a big batch of green cheese enchiladas. They were so yummy! I froze most of those for later.
Tonight I made lemon-garlic tilapia fillets with parmesan fettuccine and a basic green salad.

I'm afraid to weigh myself for a while. When the kitchen was broken I ate a lot of junk and fast food.

Tonight I'm having Jagerschnitzel, sauerkraut with apples and potato dumplings. My dad does like his German food.

German food is ok. But my dad grew up eating it so he totally loves it. So on Sundays I usually make a German dinner.

That's nice.  My dad was 2nd generation American and raised in Illinois.  They'd eat limberger cheese and some other stuff.

That does look really good  ;D  But I've never really known what grits are or maybe I've just forgot?  :-\

Anyway, I'm in a "Breakfast for dinner" mood so I'm thinking to make a ham n' cheese omelette  ;D

My grandparents moved here from Germany but my dad was born here. He speaks fluent German though. Not the most beautiful sounding language I must say.

Lol, absolutely. Someone can say I love you in German and it sounds like they want to kill you. And I'm not German bashing. I'm half German myself.

Leeks are amazing as a seasoning for broth. Just wash the leek and have the whole thing sticking up out of the pot, then use it to stir the broth.
