Thanks guys I know I shouldnt be so worried about appearances but I just keep panicking that I'm too old and will never be able to pass and just live stealth as a girl even though thats a privilege and needing that is a recipe for disaster. Therapy is helping and you guys really pick me up too!!

Hey Little Sister!...

Panic is unessesary baggage on this journey! You can leave it behind!!!..., You are gorgeous and all will be well  :)!!!!!

Too old to make your life work?...Ha!!!... I could be your grandma and I am happier than I have ever been!!!... You are doing all this stuff at the right time... When you were ready and realized that more conventional paths in life would not bring you what you truly need... A life that is truly your own... A life that reflects the truth of who you are at your core...

Many of us start this journey envisioning a future in which we will "pass" 100% of the time to 100% of the people but, find along the way that true happiness does not require we meet that standard... It is a fine goal to have but, don't let hitting it become a source of misery.. Misery is also baggage you won't need with you to weigh you down... Let joyous possibilities and unexpected discoveries take it's place instead...All will be well 😀!!!

You have pointed your life in the right direction Courtney... Every step forward will bring you closer to where you want to be!!! Don't focus solely on the destination though ... The whole ride is amazing and every moment holds lessons and value. Keep the little light of hope alive in your heart and keep moving forward... Your life is going to blossom!!!

Our lives truly are what we make them to be... Go make yours amazing!!!!

Onward we go brave girl

Ashley 😀

PS... Some poetry for your journey forward from Walt Whitman's Song of the Open Road... I like the line ..."Gently, but with undeniable will" and aspire to live each day in that way...

From this hour I ordain myself loos'd of limits and imaginary lines,
Going where I list, my own master total and absolute,
Listening to others, considering well what they say,
Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating,
Gently, but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me.
I inhale great draughts of space,
The east and the west are mine, and the north and the south are mine.

I am larger, better than I thought,
I did not know I held so much goodness.

All seems beautiful to me,
I can repeat over to men and women You have done such good to me I would do the same to you,
I will recruit for myself and you as I go,
I will scatter myself among men and women as I go,
I will toss a new gladness and roughness among them,
Whoever denies me it shall not trouble me,
Whoever accepts me he or she shall be blessed and shall bless me.
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment" ... Ralph Waldo Emerson 🌸

"The individual has always had to struggle from being overwhelmed by the tribe... But, no price is too high for the privilege of owning yourself" ... Rudyard Kipling 🌸

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

Just a quick reminder...
Gender identification is 25% physical aesthetics, 25% body language and 50% vocal presentation.

You look gorgeous, BTW!
But if you still sound like a "him", nobody's gonna buy it.

Likewise, if you sound and act like a woman, most people won't even notice most masculine features.

Any tips on my voice? Here is a clip I did for ->-bleeped-<- like a week ago. I have only just started practicing my voice in the car. Maybe like 5 hours of practice total so far so hopefully I can get a lot better.

I must say, that sounds very good for only 5 hours practice!

I've been using the free DeepStealth "Finding Your Feminine Voice" technique since April (just Google FYFV), and I'm probably right around where you are. And yes, my car is my favorite place to practice too! There are some detectable edges, but only if one is really paying attention.  It's all about practice, but I'd say we're both getting there! The hard part is remembering to keep those qualities when you're right in the middle of a conversation.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty lucky that I've always had a pretty high voice as a guy. I used to not like it on recordings because it was too high [emoji38]

Is there anything specific you think I should do?

Your chin does look womanlike, so no, not a problem in my eyes. You should not take surgery or anything for jaws, it looks fine enough.

This is such a perfect way of looking at everything thanks girl [emoji4] your right about not just focusing on the destination. I keep wanting to just fast forward the next two years , or at least the next year or so untill my hair grows out but it's important to remember that I am still really happy and enjoying life. I was thinking the other day old me would be laughing at 26 year old me thinking I want to fast forward two of the years of my life in my 20s. Gotta have some perspective for sure!

This recording is definitely more clear than the other one. I'd say you have your pitch nailed down quite nicely.
I almost think you could get away with not hitting some of the highs you were hitting.
For a brief moment in the beginning of the recording you're just a tad lower and that pitch sound a little bit more natural, yet still feminine.
I can't be sure through without having more to go on.
I still think you're definitely getting there. :)

Honestly, you pass 100% - I took a glance at the thread title, then a glance at the picture, and thought to myself Wait, is this an FtM asking??? Because that is a SUPER feminine face I'm looking at!

I'm pre-everything and my jaw is way stronger than yours.

You'll do fine. ;]

You honestly would always pass as a woman.  You are beautiful and your face is very feminine!
I'm envious, but hopeful.
