Dear Stephanie:
Thank you so very much for sharing ...
Very good advice in the "Pie Chart" that you posted.
Having self-love is the key to happiness but it goes without saying that sometimes it is easier said than done!!!

Again, thank you for your post comment.
Hugs,
Danielle

It has been a few weeks since I have been actively posting, winter busy is the deal for me.
Been scouring different quotes to find a few things, and I have come across a couple which are always fitting.

"sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free"

"confidence is not "they will like me" Confidence is "I'll be fine if they don't".  -Christina Grimme

The last one can certainly fit in when one is taxed on energy and time, I just love this one...it makes me laugh out loud....
"I don't what I would do without coffee, I am guessing 25 years to life".

Dear Liina:
Thank you for coming here again to share your thoughts.  I recall that you had posted here a few times soon after  you became a member of Susan's Place a little more than 2 months ago back in December.

I enjoyed reading the quotes that you posted....  so much wisdom in just a few words....
.... especially the "COFFEE" quote!!!    :) ;) :D ;D
Please feel free to come here often to post your thoughts.
Hugs,
Danielle

Hey Danielle,

Way excellent thread!  I will let one fly for February and thereby be part of the positive turn of the wheel you have been growing.

This one precious life we acknowledge is ours to interpret and it is then ours to determine what freedoms and happiness we may find in liberating our minds as we set sail on an ever changing and beautiful horizon.

Tonight I will raise my voice with a choir and practice harmony.  What a joy!

Thank you Danielle,

As anticipated, singing with our Q Center Choir last night was a complete pleasure.  We will be singing some Queen songs and other throw backs like "Aquarius" for our June Pride celebration.  This year our theme is "Building Bridges, Stonewall at 50".  We honor and build on our shared history from when people just like us led the way in liberation.

A choir is a beautiful metaphor wherein we practice and rehearse harmony and the more difficult dissonant parts too.  Each of us bring our voice and place in the choir to a shared audience.  It can be difficult to hear the sopranos when I am in the bass range but that is part of what practice is for....listening to others and finding those notes together.

We are better together, such a joy! ;D

Hugs and best wishes,

I posted this in my thread some time back. At the time I was asked to share it here, I was not in the mood. I wrote this during a down moment as an attempt at self-inspiration. I don't know that it's worthy, however, a few moments yesterday caused me to remember it and ponder it again.

When you are feeling low and hateful
Listen not to low and hateful things
Instead listen to uplifting and loving things
For they will brighten your soul
And happiness shall come forth like
Rays of sunshine on a cloudy day

Thank you Faith! I'm glad you shared that too.

And thank you Stephanie for your pie chart. All truly beautiful things to remember.

I have nothing clever other than just to say, after a few months of legal document rigamunrows, I'm still here and happy. So happy to have so many wonderful new friends.

Hugs.

No, I don't want to be positive! Oh, okay you talked me into it. Davina's quoting Monty Python wasn't playing fair with me trying to go negative. My contribution to the thread would stress laughing. Ever notice during the most stressful, tense moments, if a little humorous moment happens, things seem a little better. Okay, so this post isn't funny, I get that. Right now I will settle for a little, evil smirk that Dr. Evil might sneer at. Come on #2, you know you want to!

Tough crowd! Good luck Danielle!

I just joined this thread and as I was reading the intro I ran across the quote above from Moni.  I was right the other day when I called you goofy  :D   Therefore you are now one of my favorite people on this forum !!  ;D

Last night our Lower Columbia Q Center was filled to capacity with people engaged in our support group for transgender people.  Multiple generations, presentations and genders were part of a great mix.  We talked for hours and found laughter and solidarity to be just the right tonic.  We raise each other up and listen........

So good to be deep in a caring community. :D ;D ;D

Liina, come to the Astoria pride weekend this year.  Tessa does a marvelous job with that too!
