It's normal. That's the breast bud and over time it will reach the size of a donut. Normally you don't feel it because the fat covers it up but it will always be there.

@ForeverLacey:
My experience and results were quite similar what you described with your own breast development.

For me, after about 3 or 4 weeks of HRT, my breasts became very sore and I felt obvious lumps or breast buds forming under my nipples.   Also my nipples were erect and protruding much of the time and very noticeably showing through my shirts.

At 3 months the breast buds became much larger, a little larger than the size of a golf ball and there was obvious breast growth that was getting difficult to hide... again, my breasts were sore and delicate in the sense that if I bumped them when carrying heavy boxes or brushing them with my arms, they really were quite painful.

My nipples were erect most of the time and could be considered as lethal weapons as they were about to poke through my shirts and impale anyone in my path.

At the beginning of my 2nd year of HRT they were a B cup, and by the beginning of my 3rd year of HRT they became a C cup, and seemingly and hopefully will stop there.

I am presently at 3 3/4 years of HRT and wearing a 34C bra that is filled out nicely and my breast growth has seemed to stop, which is just fine with me.   I lead a very active lifestyle with running, jogging, gym, etc, so I really do not want any larger.

Thanks for sharing...
Hugs,
Danielle

I just started my third week on the estrogen patch, and I still don't see any difference in any body development.
My breasts started to grow on their own about three years ago, and are now between an A and a B cup.  My nipples have been errecht and hard for almost the entire time, and do hurt once in a while.
But again, all that happened prior to HRT.
The left breasts and the left nipple is visibly larger than the right setup, but again, that was also the case prior to HRT.

I really wonder when I will see any visible changes to my body?
It is kind of frustrating, almost everybody reports changes because of HRT and here I sit with nothing!

The way I can see it from your reports, I am already there were some of you were at the beginning of their second year on HRT.  I hope that I have not to wait for almost two years for my breast development to catch up with what I have already.  I would be very happy with a nice Ccup.

What did you do to reduce your bandwidth?  I am currently 44, and plan to loose about 15 to 20 pounds, but that would not reduce my band width a lot.  But I am 6 ' tall and have an appropriately sized rib cage.  I don't think that dieting would bring the bandwidth down more than 2 inches.  It is very hard to find a decent bra with that band width but rather small cups!

It is not easy to become a woman!

lol Curious thread No Joke Danielle! Sometimes think we should be careful what we wish for, these things take time, was once told excited massaging (by an admiring male? >:-) ) helps breast growth but while 'out' am by no means 'full time"! And for all those wistful, indecisive girls "worried" 'bout growth I'd say "don't" have found it much easier to be upfront and appeal to a guy's latent sense of "gay" rather than risk overcoming a so-called "transphobia" . .

Cis women in general are not attracted to "breasts" or "girlish-guys" am (also?) thoroughly addicted to finding that middle ground with handsome men!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Two ideas on finding large band small cup bras.  Think Walmart and not VS.  Walmart has a huge plus size customer base. Walmart is competing with Target and Amazon for online sales, so don't forget that. Second idea is to shop for post mastectomy bras.

Maybe as your chest muscles atrophy the band sizes decreases that way also?
I do not see how your bones would get smaller, but some loss of muscle and fat both seem as ways to reduce band size.

I would think that guys that had big pectorals would see the most dramatic band size losses.
Then again, woman are sometimes advised to do upper body exercises to build up their pecs, so that their breasts lift up and stand out more, without increasing breast size.  But their pecs are typically not as developed as most guy's are.

Most of us would like narrower shoulders too but we do not seem to talk about that very much as compared to talking about our breasts.

Thanks for the Walmart online idea.  I shopped our local Walmart (if anyone here wants to find a translation for the term "unorganized and chaotic", come to our Walmart), but the amount and organization of the undergarment department is so overwhelming, and the visible bras have so gigantic cups (Latino women seem to have rather big boobs) that I don't feel like diving deeper into this section of the store.
Online should be a little more serene!

I have pretty well developed pecs, and try to keep them going, for the reason you mentioned, to keep the boobs up there and not on my knee caps!  But I don't see how pecs would influence the band width much, because their main protrusion is higher up on the bosom.
My shoulders don't bother me much, because all female size XL tops fit me without any problem.  Finding female clothing items seems to be easy for me, pants of the size L fit perfectly, and the XL tops go well with them.

Yes, that area is full of large cup sizes and it makes me wonder if women that fit in them well have back problems because of their breast size!

One tip to avoid all those bras is to look at just the sections where they have sized marked boxes, rather than the bras that are openly hanging.  Granted, that eliminates some variety.  With that said, I think that I have bought only one bra there.

They do have breast enhancers in boxes in some stores, if that sort of thing appeals to you.  Sometimes I might insert some and you notice the results, for sure.  But I used them to see what size my breasts may grow into someday.  I prefer to be out with just my breasts in my bra, because that is what I want for the rest of my life.  They are still growing.   :)

I bought some of those "checken cutlets" to fill the rather empty cups of bras that fit my bandwidth. I feel that they are pretty uncomfortable and make my boobs pretty sweaty (SW Florida tents to do that with body parts)
The funny thing with bra measurements is that a B cup of a bra with small ler bandwidth fits me pretty well, while a B cup for my bandwidth seems to be gigantic.
I am currently looking into the possibility to buy bras with a smaller bandwidth and have a seamstress making this bandwidth larger.  This way I can find bras that look cute (I love everything with lace - those bigger bras look like parts of a suit of armor) but still fit my large chest.

When I was a guy (or thought I was a guy), I always wanted to be big and strong and did everything to develop my body towards this goal, now I wish I would not have done that, and I could be that slinky, thin person again, which I used to be!  At least my shoulders are not very square!

I can relate.  A C cup, or some B cups of the next lower bandwidth are much better fitting than the C cup or B cup for my bandwidth.  The volume is just not there yet. I just use the band extender thingies.

It is awesome to see my breasts actually close to fill or fill the smaller cups though. When you touch them in the bra, you feel the fullness, not baggy half filled cups.  You see the fullness also. They are still the same size breasts of course but they feel more nicely encased and supported.

I never had this nice feeling of filling a bra cup.  I envy you!
Not only do I have that large bandwidth, but because of the size of my chest, my girls are sitting pretty far apart from each other, which makes the section between the individual cups also to short.  The extenders would work OK for the back part, but I might need a seamstress to insert as section of band between the individual cups.  I am a sucker for everything lace (if possible I would be dressed in lace from head to toe), and I almost drool over the nice lace bras one can find in the smaller bandwidth.  The larger bandwidth bras seem to be more like a piece of armor, than something of delicate lace material that is meant to dress up my girls!

I bet i still have an old sternum saw around (they are ideal for woodworking), and should use this to reduce the size of my rib cage (like in a DIY fashion on my work bench).

Hand sewing should be practical for many, as we aren't talking about many stitches for simple elastic extender.

My problem is that I am way more handy with welding all kinds of steel and swinging wrenches around automobiles than handling needles and yarn. I might be able to weld an extension to the underwire of a bra (I have a nice little wire welder) and weld some mesh material in between!  But sewing it?????????

Well perhaps an alterations shop can be of help.

Maybe if you used a bra extender thingie with a front clasping bra, that would help?

My breast growth started about a month after starting HRT and seems to have continued on off since, seems like everytime I'd think "Well that's it I guess" I'd have another growth spurt

I have a pair of well formed naturally grown C cups so I'm actually kinda hoping they're through growing now

Never thought I'd be saying that

I still remember the wonder and excitement from 10 years ago when I first joined Susan's and how goofy I was trying to learn this and that like how to measure for a bra and what underwears I like

It has been an adventure  :icon_chick:

I am more or less at that point, at which you were 10 years ago.  Now you don't need anything anymore, because you have your watering tub to wear!
