Do any of you all get occasional bumps from the heart when your estrogen (estradiol) is running low (like, time for another shot, etc) or when you apply progesterone?  My Doctor says progesterone causes a "simulated" sudden reduction in estradiol.  So, either that or ACTUAL lowering of estradiol because it is time for another shot or pellets.  I understand MOST people only feel anxiety, night sweats, and things like that.  I do NOT get any of those but the heart starts getting a bit sh-ty... AND, ONLY at NIGHT.  (Now why in hell is that...)  My Doctor says that apparently, the "chemical anxiety" that lowering estradiol causes apparently all goes to my heart rather than those more common symptoms.  I wish I would just have the night sweats, general anxiety and stuff.  I have ways of coping with those.  But I HATE heart bumps.   (Note, I add progesterone as transdermal cream because it helps with breast growth and increases energy. But... I guess I better not do it... dammit)

@Josephine8Alexandria
??? heart bumps ???  I am not certain exactly what you are describing.
Do you mean irregular heart beat?  faster heart rate than normal?  heart pounding in chest?
Since your doctor is already aware of this, is this something that they want to followup with EKG?  or meds?
Please keep us updated.
Perhaps there are other members here that can identify with the issues that you are describing.

Wishing you well............ please keep us all updated.

I have had PSVT (occasional extra heartbeats, producing a few seconds (usually) of tachycardia) for years, long before I started transitioning.  My HRT doc knows about it and asked me to be aware whether the episodes increased or not on E.  I still have them, but no more frequently than before.  I am on patches, so my level stays quite steady, only decreasing a little bit towards the end of a patch.

Alaskan Danielle:  Skipped or double beats.  I have already had an ablation which got rid of anything coming from the heart itself.  This is coming from my nerves.  I have always been a nervous-nelly anyway so this is probably frayed nerves from decades of being nervousy.   I know the pellet is getting very small and about to run out.  I don't have any more money to go to California and Dr. John O'Dea, but I can continue with patches and/or shots from Two Spirit, a clinic here in Orlando for transgender.  Since I posted that, I researched via Google that women in menopause have heart irregularities.  They settle down after a while, OR, they, like us, can do HRT to replenish their dwindling estrogen.  My guess is I'm like a woman going through menopause.  I can let it run out and the body will readjust and the nerves will settle, or I could get the patches or shots from Two Spirit.  Thank you Danielle for reading and replying and your concern!  :)

KathyLauren:  When I first started HRT, heart issues decreased and even all but disappeared.  There has been NO OTHER change.  So the pellet running out has got to be the cause.  Okay, well and good, I know the cause and the cure.  But gees!  I wish I would just get the ordinary night sweats, hot flashes, and general anxiety that most folks get from dropping estrogen levels.    Thank you for reading and replying!  :)

My heart has gone into arrithmia twice since starting HRT two years ago. But my heart is paced due to a surgery screw-ups. Each time they did a cardioversion on me where they shocked it back into sync   None of my Doc's mentioned the HRT meds as a probable cause. In fact, on the whole I have been better than many years because coming out relieved the stress and depression. The irony is my heart deformaties were caused by my ->-bleeped-<- in utero.

While I am no means a medical expert, nor do I have any personal experience with the heart issues that you are experiencing....
... A QUESTION for you:  When you had your "ablation" procedure were you first diagnosed with AFIB???

I am concerned for your health and well-being, PLEASE keep us updated.
Hugs,
Danielle

Alaskan Danielle:  Thank you for your continued concern.  The heart issue is settling down apparently because I returned to applying this product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MXMN1EU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1   It is a butt plumper but what it is, is a mixture of various phyto-estrogen containing herbs.  It DOES work!  It made my butt and, lesser, thighs, plumper and more jiggly.  What it does, bottom line, is introduce estrogen transdermally.  When I first started using it in October of 2015, the number of PACs decreased to almost base line for the average population.  But, you see, I discontinued its use when I got the pellets from Dr. John O'Dea.  Now that the pellets are almost gone, I have been forced to return to that cream, until Two Spirit gets the blood test back (taken today) and gives me either shots or patches.  (I can do that here, now, because I got "the letter".)  I DID have afib episodes once every 6 months to 3 years.  He ablated that.  But the miscellaneous PACs?  They are coming from my nerves.  Estrogen has a calming effect.  The body gets accustomed to estrogen.  When taken away, it complains.  :) ;)
