I am on my second month of low level HRT and my libido is now officially zero.  I have read that it should be expected.

I accept that because my gender is more important than sex but, as I was once told, "who doesn't like an orgasm?"

I have read that those who have had GCS can have orgasms and some multiple.

How can you get there from here before GCS?  Does your libido come back at some point as your body acclimatizes to the female hormones in your system?

Can you have an orgasm, single or multiple without GCS?

I have been on dutasteride for a couple of years.  It has pretty well killed my libido.
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

Thanks Anne.  It is what it is and you have to choose your happiness.  We each have our own maps on this journey.

It looks like I am asking a question that has been answered in Adrianna86's thread and I should be satisfied with YMMV.

Sorry for the repetition.  I am still having difficulty processing all this.

It should come back.  Probably after 6 months or so.  It does very from person to person.

Depending on your surgery results you should be able to still orgasim.
I've taken what others have offered, so now I'm giving back.

I am post op.

I never lost my sex drive. I just don't think about sex all the time. Sometimes the mood just strikes.

I can have multiple.

This is totally not medical advice just my amateur 2 cents worth.   When you have your labs done I would check to see that your estrogen and testosterone are both in the normal range.  Post orchi most people are going to see testosterone drop to near zilch.

Having lots of testosterone but low estrogen = zero sex drive for me.  Having estrogen but abnormally low testosterone also = low to no sex drive.   I understand that m2f folks hearing that they need to add testosterone may be thinking no way but... Normal female levels of testosterone is not a bad thing.  Going on HRT and having some of both has really worked for me.

Thank you all.

I said on another thread that my gender peace is the most important but  I would really miss having orgasms.

I recognize YMMV. I have been spoiled with the speed of male orgasms for most of my life.

I will set aside more time.  ;)

What is YMMV? If you don't mind me asking?

YMMV -- Your Mileage May Vary

Different people may well react differently to the same situation.

From what I have read, it wasn't that long ago (a decade or two) that being able to orgasm after GRS was uncommon, now it seems to be unusual if you can't. It does take time for the nerves to reconnect, the numbness to fade, and for you to get used to the new sensations. I have heard it may take several months to a year before full sensation returns. For me, the drop in libido was gradual, my 'equipment' is pretty much useless to my wife at this point, but I don't miss it. That being said, I do look forward to the day I can orgasm as a woman. Even if I never reach that point, I will be much happier having my mind in the correct body.

I am told that, after 18 months on HRT, I should be able to achieve a female-type orgasm in spite of being pre-op.  Possibly so, but I just can't get motivated to try.  Aside from low libido, I'd be concerned that my original equipment would respond as it used to, and I wouldn't like that.

Thanks Cindy, Jane & Natalie for your input.  It definitely helps to figure out my own "map" on this journey.

Hi Kathy:  I am definitely a "tweener", currently stuck between the two genders trying to figure out my peace.  I totally understand the desire to have the right equipment but I am way early in this process.  The good news for me, at least, was that after my initial post I took more time and patience and got my current equipment to work.  So, yay!

Hi Jessica:  fortunately (?) my wife and I have not had active sex in years so I am not depriving her of anything.

Hugs to all,

Emma

I apologize for the graphicness I'm going to try and remain factual.

The cliterus does kind of get a stiff feeling but what I gathered that is normal but not much. Internally there isn't any swelling but the sensation is the same if you think about masturbation as a guy.

Post op an orgasim is much more dependent on your partner or moving your hips to help. It's a very different experience. I don't think you need to worry about your bodies response should you be curious to try.

Hey Natalie.  Graphic is totally fine.  We all need answers along our way.  Thanks
