Shoe Sizes

I once read that women's shoes in general about about 2 (US) sizes smaller than men's shoes. So, If I wear size 10 in men's it would be somewhat equivalent to a size 12 in women's.

Does this sound right?

its a good start, remember also that men generally have wider feet than women with north american sizing. From my experience a regular width woman's shoe is equivalent to a narrow width men's shoe, so instead of going up 2 sizes you may want to try going up 1 size but buying wide. For me I'm a 9-9.5 men's and I fit perfectly into a 10W women's. Depending on the brand of the shoe (like clothing, shoe sizes are different depending on the brand's fit model) I can often fit a 11B (regular width) but not always, it seems the "trendier" a woman's shoe is the thinner it becomes...... for example, I can wear 11's from cheaper places (Target, payless) but for the life of me I can't cram my foot into most 11s from Aldo or Browns.

Thats my shoe size basically. I just hope that not all of the shoes are less wide. My feet have no arc, so they are flat and kinda wide.

Generally, we should purchas shoes 1-2 sizes larger in women's size. It also depends on the type of shoe. For example, a loafer is quite different from a heel.
Some high and low heels are cut differently depending upon the brand. I thank God for wide widths because I have a wide foot.

I wear a size 10 womens and normally in guy shoes I wore a 9 to 9.5

So I'm not so sure what's up with that.  I just have some uber long toes which make my feet look funny, but other than that shoes aren't too wide really.  I know it depends a lot on how much room you want in the shoes though.  The size 10 are more snug than my guy shoes, but it's also more comfortable too for the most part.

Vegan and a CD?  Ouch.   Well start looking for the moccasins with heels, cause I don't know of many pumps not made with some leather.   Even cheap ones. Of course you could wear those stupid plastic clog things with the airholes all over them.  But I think you will feel more like Bozo than anything regarding femininity.

I was a vegan for a few years... the cheapest shoes I found back then were converse sneakers... I also had a pair of Teva sandals that were animal free, but they're very heavy and kill my feet so I don't wear them anymore.

My last mens' shoes were 7 or 7 1/2. The womens' shoes I wear now are all 8.5 and they fit so delightfully perfect.

Well I wear 10 to 10.5  mens US Nike's, .5 or 1 size smaller for sketchers and new balance, I wear a 9 in Chuck Taylors. Women shoes I where a lot of 11, 11w, and 12 I have one pair. My feet are different because they slightly point in / \ and a very high arch.

I totally won't flaunt my 2 inch heel ankle boots that don't even look like they have a heel in them that fit perfectly and look awesome with petite legged slacks or jeans.
