WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY HAIR?

Since the episode in the Mexican restaurant the other night, I was thinking maybe it was my hair that possesed the waiter to call us "ladies". I need other opinions on what I should do with it to make it more guyish. Pam thinks I should leave it alone, but I don't think so. So have a look at me and please be honest as to what might do the trick.

I say NOTHING!!!!!!!  Please don't do anything with your hair.  People here have commented on the "hottness" of your picture, and I am sure the hair is the finishing touch on the whole package!

Hair is a tricky thing, you've gotta be careful if you get it cut REALLY short that it doesn't look like a butchy lesbian cut (one of the first pieces of advice i ever recieved on the matter).

pam i'm really sorry, but i have to disagree, having it really short on the side and maybe 2 lengths longer (on hair trimmers, maybe a 1 on the sides and a 3 on top) has helped me to pass more often. from the look of the picture, i had my hair similar to marcos (also really wavy) until about 4 months ago when i begged amy to buzz it all. maybe it's just me, but it seemed like i was passing a lot more often with the military style look (side burns are cut short if not completely shaved off).

until you start feeling more comfortable (and i'm sure the t will really help with that) try a shorter cut.

and to pam, amy said the same thing that she would miss my hair, but after a while she started to like it more (it's fun to pet, kind of like a seal pup) and doesn't want me to grow it out.

O.K.  I think Marco is in the bathroom right this minute cutting his hair.  He said he was going to take a shower, but there was an awful long time that took place before the water went on.  Can't wait to see how he looks when he comes out of there...

Originally I was going to say nothing, but on second thought, maybe shortening the sides and the back would help.  Probably something like a #2 metal.  I would suggest having it shaved rather than cut with scissors because it just looks bad if you try to cut it that short with scissors.

really good point melissa! has to be done with electric trimmers (i swear by my #1 on the sides and back and #3 on the top!), no scissors if you want that really clean cut look (plus it would take much longer to cut with scissor and it's harder to tell if it's all even).

and please update marco and pam, what's the hair status?

       The update is that Marco was in fact cutting his hair in the bathroom the other night.  Our bathroom trashcan is full of his beautiful curls. (I know that is probably not the way a guy wants to hear his hair described) But like I said, that I like running my fingers through it.  Now, there is not much there, much less any to run my fingers through!  Don't get me wrong, he's not bald, but not many curls left.  What is there to say though...he's still hot!!

By the way...is it just me, or does Marco just keep getting hotter and hotter?  Whew...I need to go stand in front of the fan!

Thank you Melissa!  I know Marco looks very masculine...we just don't get where all the passing issues are coming from this week.  It's been a rough week for that.  Like Marco was saying last night, if someone is not sure what gender someone is, even if there is the slightest question in their mind, why would they persist to use words like mam or sir??  I mean, you can be polite and professional without using those terms.  Even if someone was sure that a person was a female, but looked as masculine as Marco does...I'm sure that person would still not appreciate the word mam.

This is the worst part of transition, I think.  It's the one that upsets Marco the most.  He doesn't even want to leave the apartment for the next two months.  I wish there was something I could do to alleviate the pain those situations cause.

Well, it's quite possible that this will happen again in the future to Marco, even after chest surgery.  It's just people making mistakes.  Maybe he just needs to accept that it's going to happen.  Maybe you could tell him to "act like a man" .  It's ok for him to be more assertive.  That's where men have more freedom than women.

Marcos just starting to go on T again, right?  It will make the lower part of his face fill in more and help a lot.  I know E is doing the opposite to me face.

i don't see how anyone could mistake marco for female! but i agree with melissa, it'll be no time before your jaw line broadens and that will probabaly make a lot of difference (a little goes a long way.).

One more thing: I know how you feel Marco, about not wanting to even leave the house. It's hard. I'm having a really hard time with it as well. It seems like with every passing year, I look more and more like I'm morphed between the sexes. It's gotten to the point where I wish I could just hide and no longer be on display. You look like any other guy to me. I don't know why your gender is being questioned. I don't see any trace of a female in your picture.
Try to relax. It won't always be this way. You're about to get your first shot of T again, and surgery soon. That will make you feel better. This difficult time will pass.

  All of you are bring great. Melissa, I think you are right about the shape of my face. I hope that T will make it square quickly! Also I came across a product I heard is suppose to make hair growth on your face, but it is a product for hair loss on your head. It is called Nanogen. Maybe I will make a post on it and see if anyone else knows anything about it. Thanks Tino man for putting up a picture, now I don't feel so alone. Looks good. Longer curly hair will be back for us both later down the line after some T? Monday can not come soon enough for that first shot! But I do still feel like hiding until August, but I can't. I have to go back to work. Now we are waiting on you Nero for a picture. Pam did it for you, knowing that is not the best she can be, so come on Nero.
