So, I'm Yvl, I'm a MTF transsexual, I think.  My chosen name is Kathy.

I'm confused as all hell right now, because the feeling of being trangendered has been on and off.  I'm 20 now, and I first came out to my parents and friends at 17 (after feeling confused for most of my life).  I was planning on transitioning, starting to dress outside of the house, and had an appointment with an endocrinologist to get started on HRT, but the day of the appointment, the entire feeling of being female vanished.  For a while I was fine being male, though I still would rather have been female, but the feeling slowly started to return, until today, when I finally admitted to myself that I may have just have had cold feet when I decided to halt my transition and cancel the appointment with the endocrinologist.

Some things about me as a person - I'm into video games, especially RPGs both online and offline.  I also do like certain anime, but I'm not a squealing fangirl or anything like that.  Don't really know what else to say, havent had to introduce myself on a forum in years.

That statement rang a bell in my mind. At seventeen, my world turned upside down as well. Well, I didn't actually come into the opening, but I did begin to feel a lot different.

You're not the only one like that. The last forum I was on was an anime forum, but that was about 5-6 years ago.

Anyway, welcome to this forum.

Welcome to Susans, Yvl. I know the feeling of confusion. Today I am a happy and content crossdresser and transgender.

Welcome to Susan's, Kathy.

For being out of practice you did a nice intro. GID has this tendency to 'come and go.' Sometimes we go through long periods thinking we have 'beaten' it. Others of us have other things that manage to 'tamp' down our GID. Others simply MUST change at young ages.  Different strokes.

Nice to have you here. Be sure to check out the Site Rules and use them in your postings. Also browse the site and discover Chat, Wiki, Links and all the assorted features here.

Welcome again.

That seems to be the case, I just wasn't totally sure if it was indicative of something other than being transsexual.

Thanks for the greetings and advice.

Hullo Kathy, glad you found us!

And a lovely intro, dear.

I think cold feet happens to us all, when the moment comes. Later, you'll regret not taking the step forward, but there's not really anything to do about that, except make sure you won't stand back again.

I would be blessed if a single day could pass without me wondering if I'm really who I say I am, if what I feel is real and if what I say is true. I know a lot of the boys and girls (and the unicorns too!) feel that way.

So, even though you might not always believe in yourself, I assure you, the people here believe in you!

And hey, a thousand people can't all be wrong, can they?

I guess they can, alright, I mean, just look at the...oh, nevermind!

But these people know what you're about, I think, and they - we - all believe in you.

So there.

Enjoy your stay! With the recent influx of nerds and anime lovers, I think you'll feel right at home.

I'm Moira, by the bye. It's pronounced like French. Mwa-rah.

I'm in the same point as you are but haven't come out yet but going to therapy. I'm 20 years old as well and had a point to where I could have come out at seventeen but was so scared that I thought it was just adolescents or something.

Well enjoy your stay here at Susans and a very nicely done into.
