I used to think no... 'cause then i wouldn't be "me", but right now i'm thinking yes.  It would rock to have gone through this puberty 15 years ago instead of now.  To never have had to deal with that other puberty.

I often think about all the ->-bleeped-<- i've missed out on.  It frakking sucks.  I'm 27 and my life is just starting... wasted too many years.

Actually, going through puberty at 47 sounds kinda fun.... :icon_evil_laugh:  Bring on the testosterone and let's party!!   :icon_dance:

Wow! I sound like I'm going at this really early... maybe I should wait until I'm at least 20? I don't know. I hear doing it sooner could help me grow taller... I'm only like, 5'3" or 5'4"...

Have I ever wished that?  Occasionally I'll find myself thinking that it would be so much easier if I actually enjoyed having this roiling river of testosterone flowing through me and making me all manly and whatnot.  My childhood wasn't too terrible though.  I played with the guys because I lived on a farm and outdoorsy pastimes were the norm.  Then I get to thinking about it and I just can't be that guy everyone sees (though at work I'm told I look like a girl from behind which is pretty freaking awesome!) nor would I ever seriously want to be.

Never.  I would much rather be a ts male than a cisgendered female.  This experience is what makes us the extra special and brave people we are.  Life just would not be the same.  Besides I like being an icky boy on the inside. >:D

No, I only wish my birth sex were correct for my gender. Either way though would have been nice. There are enough challenges in life without have to deal with gender issues.
Oh, and guys aren't icky, they're yummy.  >:D

I consider being a woman as my birth gender,  not my birth sex.  My birth sex is a birth defect.
All the freaking time, but then again it wouldn't have been as much fun.  And I would probable been a Mom at 16, had I been a girl from the get go.

Naw, Nero, I can dance with whom I came to the dance. But, thanks for the offer. Perhaps I'll be there in the next incarnation.

I can't really get my head around the question. I think it's like asking a cisgendered guy, would you like to have been born a girl and be happy about it? I simply can't imagine it.

Would I like to have been a cisgendered guy, yes. Not that I hate who I am, but got enough challenges in life without this one, but there's no way I'd try and reconcile myself to being female to avoid this challenge.

For me, the ranking would be cis guy then trans guy, then male-bodied androgyne (that's for my wishes, not for what's better or worse for others). Just can't imagine being happy in a female body for me, it was such a misery.

Don't give up too soon, Jenny.

Guys are definitely "icky." Lemme count the ways: sometimes they are rude, usually they don't think of 'dirt' properly (trouble cleaning,) they can be incredibly dense when it comes to personal feelings, etc, they can be clueless about romance and how someone gives herself to another!

But, they can also be wonderful: thoughtful, compassionate, handsome, truly wanting to help and care for others (even if a bit clueless about how to do that,) and they can be fun to feel next to you as well. I've been led to believe that a few are even excellent lovers!! (Now that one I'd beware of if I were you!! There's no independent test results that show that one to be definitely true as yet!! )

So, they are both 'icky' and 'irresistable' depending on the time of day, the time of week, the time of month, the time of year!!

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer.  No, but....  Everyone just wants to be normal.  At least I do.  If I were a guy, and happy to be one, I wouldn't be the same person.  I have no idea what the heck I'd be.  A regular old guy without a clue in the world about what was going on around me.

The other thing I try to keep in mind is that everyone has complications in their lives.  The "real McCoys" have a completely different set of problems than we do.  I don't think that means their problems are easier, they're just shared by a larger percentage of the population.   In the end, it just comes down to a question of is the grass really greener on the other side?  The answer IME is, usually not.  There's just different weeds.

So, yes, I definitely wish that sometimes I was just a guy.  But I'm not, and I'm not convinced that that's such a bad thing.  As Bono once said, "F%^# the mainstream"  :)
Hey, it's what I've got.  Take it or leave it.

EXCELLENT point.

I mean, if I was a content female, I'd still say, "My bewbs are too small!" and "My hands are too masculine!" Fortunately, on the flip side, I like these things about myself because I identify as male, but now the issue lies with my very feminine body, which looks very much like this:

I think I'm 1 or 2 inches taller than her, maybe...!

I feel like I waste a pretty good body. I know so many girls who'd kill to look like me and I want to bulk it up with T.  :-\

I always thought Nichole Richey was too thin.  Like if you tossed her a bag of groceries you would knock her over - not to mention she would have no idea what to do with it.

Its good to weigh more than your purse.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I would say yes for a couple of reasons... I'd like to relive ages 8 to about 18... I think that would have been
a kick as Amanda. And I really would have liked to be able to carry children... that would be pretty awesome...
and if I had a choice... I would have liked to have been straight to go along with it.
