I always thought Nichole Richey was too thin.  Like if you tossed her a bag of groceries you would knock her over - not to mention she would have no idea what to do with it.

Its good to weigh more than your purse.
I too am too thin.  :-X I was 84 lbs for a long time... I think with all this working out (which makes me eat a lot more), I may have gained some weight. But I'm sure I'm still under 90. My doctors say it isn't too unusual, since it runs in my family and I have small bones.

I would say yes for a couple of reasons... I'd like to relive ages 8 to about 18... I think that would have been
a kick as Amanda. And I really would have liked to be able to carry children... that would be pretty awesome...
and if I had a choice... I would have liked to have been straight to go along with it.

If I was born male, I don't think I'd be a whole lot different... except maybe I'd be more into girls and I'd have the "tough guy" chip on my shoulder because I'm so short... lol.

I used to. I tried pretty hard to construct that identity, since it was what everyone around me seemed to expect of me. (Who am I kidding "seemed to expect" -- it's absolutely what they expected.) I'm pretty much sick of it. I have no desire to be "one of the guys" anymore. I'm just myself, whether I'm playing with the boys or the girls, whatever persona I might be wearing. The trouble is that "myself" is a pretty mixed up pile of confusion and uncertainty these days. I always wanted to be "one of the girls" as long as I had any conception what that meant.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

I do wish I never would have had to deal with all this, yeah.

But...eh, I guess I just want to be me. If someone offered to do some kind of brain-feckup so that I would believe I were a normal boy, never thinking I'd ever been otherwise, no repercussions or any remembrance of this at all. No second thoughts...

I would decline.

If someone offered to turn back time, to when I was concieved, to alter something that would make me just a normal boy...

I would decline.

Because...while I do wish I would never have had to deal with this, I -am- dealing with it now, and I -am- hoping that I will get through this and be a better person because of it.

I don't want all this pain and suffering to have been in vain, I really don't.

It's hard to really understand, I guess...I don't understand it either, but right now, I just want to be me. And I'm still in the process of finding out who that is. I couldn't get anyone else to create me, for me.

I guess that one makes sense, actually.

No one else can tell you who you are.

I'm sure I would have just found something else to complain about.
EXCELLENT point.

I mean, if I was a content female, I'd still say, "My bewbs are too small!" and "My hands are too masculine!" Fortunately, on the flip side, I like these things about myself because I identify as male, but now the issue lies with my very feminine body, which looks very much like this:

I think I'm 1 or 2 inches taller than her, maybe...!

I feel like I waste a pretty good body. I know so many girls who'd kill to look like me and I want to bulk it up with T.  :-\

I will TRADE you and I'll pay for the transplant. I had a REALLY great body, it's a little skinny now, but put it back on T and it'll be like brand new. :)

Life would just be so much easier if I were the 'real mccoy'.
Any thoughts on this?

No, I wish my body matched my birth gender, so I'd still be ME mentally.  My mind is male; I never once wished I were a 'real woman'.

Jay

yeah, sounds kind of crazy but for a lot of my childhood, i just wanted to be a normal girl. I used to cry because the other girls wouldn't let me play. LOL

No I can relate... I was always the weird boy in groups of friends even. Its not that I wanted to be a normal boy, its that I REALLY TRIED at some points. I mean... Up til like... This year. I was SO physically fit. I'd obsess over it. Maybe being in denial made me try harder or something... Whatever. I'm so out of shape right now, I can barely go down the stairs after a game of laser tag XD.

i mean your assigned gender. so for a woman, i'm asking if you would rather have just been a normal male than deal with all this.

I like them, because it almost makes me feel like they're peering into my brain and taking a look, and not being like... Scared or anything, and just kind of confidently grinning and knowing or something...

Its kind of reassuring I guess?
