Thanks Tinkerbell,

I have been doing a lot of reading here today and I noticed and read your introduction with great interest.

I realized I was transsexual when I learned about what it was, exactly. I knew I was male, though, from very young. At four already I was refusing to wear dresses; at six, I was playing with boys and getting crushes on girls. At seven, I told my mother I was a boy named Timothy. When puberty started in at 8 and I got breasts instead of chest hair, it was a massive shock; getting my period 2 years later was all the worst, and made me try to conform to everyone else's ideas of who I should be. It's funny... just today I was looking at some pics of myself in high school, with long hair and girls' clothing, and I felt like I was looking at someone else entirely. It's like I knew my true being last when I was 10, and now, almost 14 years later, I've found it again completely.

Funny you should say that Rafe, I had my last glimpse of myself at age 10 as well. At age 11, puberty set in, and my life was over. But now by some miracle, there I am in the mirror again - my true self.
