Juice worth the squeeze?

Maybe this questioned has been asked before, but to those you are more than a couple of years post-op, has the transition been worth the effort, the losses, the overhead of transition? In the areas of career, family (I'm married with children), friends,  life in general, do you feel that the net gain has been worth the costs?
