I wish there were a device that could look directly into my mind, rather than the opinion of a primate shrink. I've honestly gotten much better readings from Tarot Cards about myself than the head docs around here. And why call them tests anyway? Its almost like if you don't get a category you FAIL...

DUMBDUMBDUMB ;D

"Your Gender Aptitude Score:
48

You have a range of possible scores from zero to 255, and if you haven't guessed it by now, when it comes to your Gender Aptitude (GA), smaller is better. But don't fret, please. It's just an aptitude, and like any other part of human potential, with a little or a lot of work you can always improve. Let's see what the numbers translate into."

Up to 6 of us 'freaks' now, according to the poll results... thank ya' all!   ;)

Of course, I've always been of the opinion that words like freak, weird, or queer are compliments!  :-*

I enjoyed the test, and the sheer campiness of many of the possible answers. While some may find the test confusing or just plain odd, I enjoy the fact that it makes one think.  Many of the answers also suited my personality well... I love a good sense of humour!  ;D

Scott

PS to Zythyra: perhaps there is some correlation between score and age as you suggested - mine are within 1 of each other!    >:D

I think it's very sad that these tests are presented. Both the questions and answers were 'airhead' nonsense and it's not something that relates to me in any way.....They are pointless and I didn't find them a source of fun....

Many people think like you do, Berliegh, and I don't blame you.  No one should take the results of this test seriously.  Only a gender therapist can diagnose a medical condition so complex as transsexualism.

I much prefer 'real' topics, and real posts which have some importance..

I do too and I'm sure many of our members do as well.  However, others may find this test somewhat helpful or rather amusing (if you will); hence, this is why it is here.  Besides, no one should feel obligated to participate in any thread if they don't wish to do so.

It's this simple really.

Gosh... I'd be 104... perhaps my describing myself as Mrs. Santa-esk isn't so far off...  hmmm a chubby fairy of sorts... hmmm...  older than her appearance...

I wonder what my pension would be? at 104    ;)

I may be totally wrong here, but I didn't feel this test was really about transsexualism. The way I read it, it was about measuring how strongly one is attached to the binary (social) gender system, rather than the gender they were assigned at birth. I'm tempted to say these are different axes altogether; but if you want to consider them more closely related, this test was about the absolute value of the gender identity, not the sign. As a consequence, the extreme transsexuals would be expected to end up close to the extreme cissexuals on this scale, opposite the extreme androgynes. Roughly speaking, that is, and without any value judgements or even all that much guesswork about the intensity of anyone's GID.

55: Gender Freak

I'll take the freak part, the gender part is too confusing...  8)

This test is quite intresting Tink, some of the answers I just had to laugh at though. For example;

QuoteIf you meet someone who you think is one gender, but you find out they used to be another gender, you think to yourself:
Yea, yea. But can you do a good Elvis?

I like it...
Yes I do!

I recieved on the test Gender Novice 160 :o

ha ha ha ha  ms. twilight zone's aptitude test.  i wonder what her opinion about well-gendered is.  one of this person's famous quotes "i'm third gender"
ok fine i can live with that...but you did have grs, didn't cha? ???

The problem here, is that most things asked aren't relevant to all. When I think of gender, I don't think mindset or stereotype of clothing preference, I think more of my body itself. Thats probably odd, but I just "feel* off in the actually body. I'll always be just ME in my head. Not girly me, or manly me. Just ME. I just feel like the body itself is off. Sexually too I never really liked the male role, its just the ME role. ETC.

You are not upset, are you?  why would you need the results of a test to tell you that you are a man?  You and I both know you are one.  The rest is obsolete!

Gender outlaw...I have to agree with the results; but the terms male female and gender confuse me. :D

Hypatia

I scored 79, "gender outlaw," but thought the test on the whole was pretty annoying. I used to like Kate's shtick more... when I was a novice, ironically... but now she comes across to me as kind of a nudzh* about this stuff.

*Nudzh is a Yiddish term meaning someone who pesters you to the point of annoyance or boredom.
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride
